  • Small but mighty
Color: A-mandala
These Swedish dishcloths arrive very flat, but they quickly absorb water and expand to the thickness of a regular washcloth. The material reminds me of a cellulose sponge but finer textured. Both sides of the cloth have a very good texture rough enough to wash food debris off of dishes. They are not rough enough to scratch, and you will still need a scrubber for baked-on casserole leavings. I ordered the Mandala pattern and love the bright colors and variety of patterns. The colors are so far not fading while the dishcloth is soaped and scrubbed and rinsed in everyday use. Laid out on a counter or draped over a towel hook, the dishcloths dry quickly. They are smaller than my woven dishcloths, but I'm finding that's not an issue because they are so absorbent. Besides washing dishes, I've used them to wipe up messes that might stain my woven dishcloths. They rinse clean easily. Because they are considered disposable I don't mind if they pick up a coffee or curry stain. That reduces the number of paper towels I use and discard. I have not yet run them through the laundry, but they feel sturdy enough to use over and over. Like a good quality sponge, they will eventually wear out and probably sooner than a terrycloth dishcloth. That's OK. They're doing a great job now. ... show more

  • SUCH BEAUTIFUL AND CHEERFUL SWEDISH DISHCLOTHS; BIODEGRADABLE; ABSORBENT
Color: H-flower Cat Dog
These Swedish dishcloths are, in a word, beautiful. Vibrant and cheerful, they are sure to make you smile. They come in a 6 pack, and are constructed of 70% cellulose (probably derived from cotton) and 30% cotton. What is cellulose? Cellulose was discovered in 1838, is the most abundant organic polymer on earth, is derived from numerous organic sources, is odorless, tasteless and is biodegradable. What's important is that it is a naturally occurring, readily available material that is earth friendly. These Swedish dishcloths are rather like a very thin sponge. When you unpack them from their box, they are stiff thin lovely cardboardish rectangles. Add water, and they transform into a dishcloth that is easy to use, wring out, and then they dry out again. The top is printed and smooth; the back is quite textured allowing them to pick up crumbs and wash dishes and the like. They are highly absorbent, can tackle any number of cleaning tasks, are machine washable, durable, reusable, and designed to replace paper towels and traditional dishcloths. They dry in a jiffy. Unlike traditional dishcloths that last for years, these do have a lifespan. After numerous uses and machine washings they will at some point be discarded. But they will then naturally degrade. Mine measure 7 5/8" x 6 3/4". They are the "H-flower Cat Dog" design. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. ... show more

  • good alternative to paper towels
Color: H-flower Cat Dog
These are just as nice as other more expensive Swedish towels I've purchased, and the designs are so cute and colorful. I use them for wiping up spills and cleaning mildly dirty items, but not for really greasy or super soiled things, this will help them last a really long time. They rinse out and dry fairly quickly when you hang them. You can also throw in the washer periodically, but I would avoid the dryer, hang them instead. ... show more

  • I love Swedish Dishcloths!
Color: I-boho
Ever since I went to Sweden, I have been a Swedish dishcloth believer. These are right on par with other brands I've bought in the past, which tend to be overpriced. I don't feel like these were at all one bit. I chose the J-Boho pack which came neatly stacked in a eco-friendly, recyclable package. All of the designs are super cute and are great to add on a little for seasonal decor. They perform just as expected, squeeze out easily, don't fall apart, and last a long while. They help me save significantly on paper towels, the fact that they're compostable is a big plus and the texture makes cleanup easy. If I'm not ready to let them go yet, I'll toss them in the dishwasher for a deep clean and they hod up really well! I'll definitely be back for more! ... show more

  • Stiff, and design comes off in wash
Color: H-flower Cat Dog
I loved the idea of these reusable dish cleaning cloths as a way of saving paper towels, but in practice, I ran into quite a few problems. If I'd known, I probably would have stuck to cloth dishtowels instead. These were smaller than I expected, although the designs are bright and very cute. Right out of the package, they're very stiff, more like a coaster than a cloth. Using them dry is like trying to wipe something up with a piece of cardboard. They do not conform to the shape of what I'm wiping at all. The first time I put one through the washing machine, the design was half rubbed off and it shrank. (See photo: the one on the left is right out of the package, the one on the right was used once and washed.) If you run them under the faucet, though, they absorb water and become soft. This sort of defeats the purpose, if you're going to use them to mop up a spill. My daughter tried to use one to sop up grease, the way you'd use a paper towel. It did a terrible job. Instructions inside the package would have been a good idea. It isn't intuitively obvious how to use them. ... show more

  • Useful
Color: J-boho Plant
I've been on the lookout for this style dishcloth ever since I tried them in Europe a few years ago. Imagine a thin flexible sponge paper and that's what these are like. They're absorbent and dry quickly. The colors and patterns are holding up perfectly through multiple uses and washes. I got the J-boho plant pattern and they are exactly as pictured. You're meant to dampen them first a bit and then use them to wipe up whatever. You can't really use them dry since they initially come like stiff sheets--they become flexible once dampened. So you don't use them exactly like paper towels. ... show more

  • Attractive and absorbent
Color: A-mandala
Fun, colorful mandala patterns! These Swedish dish towels are very absorbent and useful for many purposes (can be used as a paper towel or also a sponge). Because they can be washed and reused many times before they are really used up, they are a pretty eco-friendly option, and a pack of six will last quite a while. It’s also nice that they come in a simple cardboard package. Very happy with the quality and style of this product. ... show more
