I was honestly really impressed with this futon, especially once it had time to fully expand after being unpacked. It does arrive vacuum sealed, so at first it looks thinner than expected, but after giving it the recommended 48 hours, it fluffed up nicely to around that 6 inch thickness and made a big difference in comfort. The shredded foam filling provides a really supportive feel without being too firm or stiff. It has enough cushioning to sleep on comfortably, whether it's on a futon frame or directly on the floor. We actually used it on the floor for a bit, and it felt much more like a proper mattress than one of those thin folding pads that leave you sore the next day. The futon hold its shape instead of bunching up over time, which is something I’ve had issues with in the past. The twisted rope edging is a nice added touch too, it gives it a more finished, stylish look instead of just looking like a basic cushion. Overall, this feels sturdy, supportive, and comfortable enough for regular use, whether for guests or as an everyday sleep setup. Definitely a great option if you want something versatile that doesn’t feel flimsy or temporary.

The media could not be loaded. I'll give this futon mattress four stars. Let's break it down. 1. Ease of movement, nope. Once this is set free of its vacuum packaging, stand back because you've released the beast . It isn't your average futon. This is something quite different. Look at the size of this thing! One person can move it from place to place; for comparison, it isn't as heavy as a queen mattress but similar to a twin. 2. Let's talk comfort and firmness. You'll notice foam blocks make up its innerds. You can partially feel that when you lie on it. It is comfortable, but not like a mattress. If I had a choice between an air mattress and this futon, I'd choose the futon (but go for the bed any day). 3. Value, well for $130 it isn't bad. The value is there. 4. Quality? Good quality. It is durable with good stitching. It will last for sure. 5. Fit? Yes, as you will see in the photo, I placed it on a queen bed and it covers it well. Now the BEWARE part of this review. Notice in the photo I added the black bag that comes with the futon. Are you supposed to get that huge thing back into that for storage? I don't think so. Notice the two straps? They are intended to hold the futon together when you roll it up. Sure, that may work, but only if you have two strong people working on the beast from both ends. To sum up, for the price, it's a good futon for an overnight guest, but you'd better have a place to store it if you don't have a futon frame. If you have a frame, this is perfect.

I picked up this 6 inch full size futon mattress to use as both a floor bed for guests and a casual seating option in a spare room, and it has been more comfortable than I expected. The shredded foam filling gives it a supportive but slightly cushioned feel, and it fluffs up nicely after being unrolled. I like the tufted design and twisted rope edging because it helps the mattress keep its shape and gives it a finished look even without a frame. It is thick enough for short-term sleeping, though for nightly long-term use, I would probably add a topper for extra comfort. Moving it around is manageable, but it does have some weight to it. very very lumpy and very small...... it is NOT .... NO WAY.... a bed....... i will return this if i can figure out how to get it back in its box...... ( it is at least 8 inches less wide and 12 inches less long then the japanese floor matteress i already got ...also, the tufting makes it triple lumpy..... good going amazon, now i got a big problem)

I’ll admit it—I’ve never been a big fan of futon mattresses because most of the ones I’ve tried weren’t very comfortable. This one changed my mind. It’s really well made and actually feels comfy. It’s great to sit back on to read, lounge, and relax without feeling like you’re sinking into something uneven or thin. The tufting and rope-edged detailing also give it a nicer, more finished look than the typical basic futon pad. We went with the full size because we needed something practical for a guest to sleep on, and it ended up being the perfect choice—big enough to be comfortable without taking over the room. If you’ve avoided futon mattresses in the past because they felt too stiff or flimsy, this one is worth considering.

Unfortunately, I did not read description close enough to know that it's not just full futon it's just a mattress part.So now I have to wait till I get a futon.In order to fully try this out.But so far it's very cushy and soft will make a really good fu time.Because it easily folds together, but also provides enough support to be a bed!

The mattress is pretty comfortable albeit stiff with foam squares. Once you open and release the mattress it expand to about 5 times its size. It is not easy to move around and store. This is more like a permanent solution for a futon instead of a temporary one due to its weight as well. The material is pretty thick as well and good quality. Overall I would recommend this for a futon frame instead of a roll out mattress for guest. Currently we are using small ratchet straps to secure and store it till we have guest.
