As I was unpacking this garland I thought it might not have the fullness I had anticipated based on photos and reviews… though I quickly realized it had more volume than I thought could fit in the small box it came out of. I was very pleased when I laid it on a 6 foot table and could see how thick and well balanced it is. It does require some thoughtful attention to arrange the branches nicely, separating them and sending them in nice directions. I found that it helps to overlap some branches over the main stem, adding fullness and creating a consistent texture throughout the garland. The photos are taken in late afternoon natural light. There are some slight variations of color in the garland, which add to the realistic appearance, although I think a little more color contrast could be better. I was glad there are no grayish tones in the garland, although I think it could look more realistic if the color were a little darker and more muted. It’s a very nice piece of greenery and is so versatile. Now I know I will be incorporating more cedar garlands in holiday decorating. Traditionally I have used common pine garlands, and these will always be essential, though the cedar has an especially elegant appearance. I’m quite pleased with this piece and look forward to seeing it with some added artificial floral and some lights.

I recently received this "6 Ft Christmas Cedar Pine Garlands, Artificial Cedar Garland, Realistic Green Artificial Greenery Garland for Table, Mantle, Wall, Indoor, Outdoor Christmas Decorations (1, 6 FT)" and it will work for my intended purposes, but I'm not 100% when it comes to the quality of the garland as a whole. It's very good from a distance, but too artificial at when viewing up close. I ordered this garland to supplement my upcoming Christmas decor. I like decorations that are easy to use, easy to store, and can be cleaned relatively quickly. This artificial cedar garland ticks all those boxes, so I'm very pleased with that. Unfortunately, the evergreen foliage looks a bit more plastic-like than I was hoping, so it's not quite as nice as I would have liked. Regardless, it's still going to work well, but I will probably continue searching for more realistic looking pieces in hopes of coming across one that looks "organic" under close scrutiny. The garland appears to be true to size and when held from its "hanging" end (the loop), it is taller than I am at 5'9", but I didn't get out my tape measure to verify down to the quarter-inch or anything. The garland can be fairly tightly compressed, so storing it shouldn't be too problematic. It sprung into shape immediately upon opening the package in which it was shipped, and it didn't really need any "fluffing" at all to make it look fairly natural. Because the texture of the garland is fairly rubbery and is made of plastic, the whole piece can be cleaned under running water, but hopefully that won't be necessary - still, it could be, and that's a bonus in my book. There was no unusual odor to this garland - it has a faint "plastic" kind of aroma at first, but even my pup didn't spend any considerable amount of time sniffing it out if that means anything. She will typically *really* investigate new stuff and though she never shares details about what she's smelled and what info those scents provided, she spent only a few seconds on this one before moving about her evening. The item description makes no reference to UV-protection for this piece, so I'll not be using it as part of my outdoor decor, but it works very well when draped across my hearth. My entertainment center is just barely shorter than this garland is long, but it also looked pretty cool when I test-drove it there. But it's July, and I'm not keeping any Christmas decorations out for the full last half of the year, so into my "XMAS DECOR" box it goes for now. The color of the greenery looks very natural, though it doesn't have major variance in the green used. The bulk of color variation seen in the photos is really a byproduct of shadows. To me, the color looks natural enough for me to use this for the holidays, so I'm not complaining. This garland was priced at $34.99 when I placed my order. Personally, I think that's a bit pricy for this piece, but not outrageously so. As I type this review, the garland is discounted 15% (for Prime Days), making it only $29.74, which seems more reasonable to me, price-wise. In all, not a bad piece and I have only minor reservations recommending it to others. I have to admit that when I first received this product condensed and pressed into a tiny box, I didn't think it was going to be a very good product. When I opened the box and saw how plastic and shiny the leaves were, I thought that my fears were confirmed. But then I took it out, spread it out, and hung it and it was so beautiful! It looks and acts so realistic. Yes, up close you can tell that it's made of plastic, but step just a few inches back and you don't know that it's not real. Additionally, it's so well made that I think it will last a lifetime. If it can stand being squished into a box and still look beautiful when it's removed, then I don't see why it can't stand being stored for 10 months of out of the year. It's so pretty, though, that I might just find a place to hang it up year round! And because it's entirely plastic, I think it would be easy to keep clean because it could just be put it in the shower and hosed off of any dust. So, in conclusion, yes, it is plastic, but it looks so very realistic. I wouldn't pass this product up if you can help it. It's gorgeous! I can't wait to see mine all lit up with twinkly Christmas lights.

I’m surprised at how well made this garland is. The look and texture of the faux branches are very life like when you put it up. I hung it up on my fireplace and was easy to fluff. When you stand back it looks very realistic because of the detailed texture of the branches. The garland seems to made with quality plastic material. When it’s time for Christmas I think I’ll spritz it with some pine spray to give that Christmas smell. I think I’ll probably purchase another to put somewhere else too.
