My wife has recently broken her leg just above the ankle joint. Getting in and out of a car with a cast on her leg has been a real battle. This handle is something I've seen advertised for a long time, but never felt the need to buy one. With her difficulty getting into and out of a car, it was time. This does exactly what it is supposed to do. It fits into the door latch on the car's frame and holds steady with as much weight as you want to put on it. I weight about 150 and used this tool as the base to lift my weight completely off the ground. It held with no problem, so I am sure it will hold anyone who needs it for support, as they are not going to use it to do weird pushups raising their entire body weight. These work good for their intended purpose. Makes getting in & out of my 2003 corvette easier. It’s a long way down when the car sits only 4.5 inches off the ground. The reverse is true also. Since I have trouble with my knees and getting up into my truck, this helps alot. It just fits into the door lock and you can boost yourself into the truck with the aid of the steering wheel on the other side. It comes right off when you are in the truck. Handy to keep in the driver's side pocket. However it does not fit tight in the slot for the door lock. It is very unstable is you don't get it just so and make sure it doesn't wobble. Grip can slide down the handle and come off while you are trying to get in the car. Not as stable as I had once thought when I first tried to use.
