This mixer is actually pretty decent for the price. It has been working fine for several month so far without any real issues. We're not using it for any professional recording purposes, but we've enjoyed testing it out and haven't run into any problems.

Clean sound and very smooth sliders. Only negative is, fx are pretty weak. Gotta crank them for a little delay. But it works. I use it for open mics and it does the job.

This unit compares to my Behringer 6 channel mixer I have used for years for practicing and recording guitars. It's form factor is a little bit bigger than the Behringer is, but the added space between controls is welcomed. This unit ticks all of the boxes (and a few more) for a compact pro-sumer mixer. The unit would find itself at home with small bands for practice, or even gigging out. For the wedding reception crowd, you have a full Bluetooth capable input that comes with USB power to keep your MP3 player charged and running all night. It does have controls on the mixer to start, stop and advance your MP3 player, but that is mostly worthless since you have your MP3 player right there to be plugged in, so selecting songs and the like is best suited to your actual device. Some other things to note. The LED level indicators are very bright and would be easily seen in bright daylight. - Maybe a bit much in a dark club... The rude solo buttons are strangely labeled PFL rather than solo - just a quirk. There is also an AFL switch on the device to select the Aux MST input. The only thing I ran into that was a bit odd was that if you select the send from the MP3 accessory channel to channels 5 or 6 on the board, it automatically sends both as is noted by using the PFL switch on either channel 5 or 6 and of course the LED level meter. The documentation is pretty sparse, but I am of the belief that most in the market for such a mixer already know how to use a mixer of this type. The Bluetooth and effects options are not very well covered in the manual, but with very little experimentation, these can be implemented with very little hassle. This has both balanced XLR and TRS (mic and line level) inputs/outputs present on the board. Connectivity is very robust as far as configuring the board to fit your specific needs at the time you are deploying it. As an old band member, this board exceeds what we used to have connected to our practice PA and has tape outputs to record everything. Connectivity is king on this mixer, it really is very universal and I had no issues setting it up as for the most part I could configure it a number of different ways to taylor to the job at hand. All of this at a price point of around $100 - you just can't beat it.

Because this is cheap and because it is wireless I expected to have to deal with a lot of noise in the mix. But this was not the case. The sound actually came across is very clean and the mix is very crisp. This is the six channel model because it was the only one offered at the time I would’ve preferred to 12 or 16 channel. It has an external power supply which is helpful to keep the noise down. That means it’s a power brick rather than a power cord plugging into the unit. It also makes the unit lighter. And it’s not very heavy and it certainly has a decent build quality. Not excellent but not cheap feeling either and the buttons and knobs do not feel too bad. You can tell you’re not working in a professional studio but it doesn’t feel like a toy either. There is only a single USB input so this is not ideal if you’re working with a bunch of wireless Lavalier microphones. I was hoping to bring those in but you’ll have to use a separate interface and then go into the line inputs. This added a little too much latency to the mix so I wouldn’t really recommend using a wireless microphones with this. It’s a good level mixer and like most mixers it has your three band equalizer and delay and reverb effects with fadders. The effects seem a little bit overly digital sounding is the best way I can put it. But if you don’t go too heavy on the mix, it will sound just fine. We already use this for a rehearsal last weekend. It didn’t have any trouble with the low frequencies of the drum kit and the mix was absolutely fine going out to two powered gigantic Mackie Thump monitors. Overall this is an entry-level type of unit with no real “wow “ features. It’s not going to knock your socks off but for the price it’s a great unit for somebody just beginning to work with studio recording or a band on a budget needing their own soundboard. For people in the intermediate and advanced applications this probably will not be their unit of choice. I’m still very much impressed at the clarity of the channels though. I’ve had to deal with frustrating noise issues from much more expensive mixers. It’s a solid four star offering which raises itself to the level of five stars because of the price.
