In an 8 frame deep, with my first feeder, I could fit 7 frames in with the feeder. It was tight, but it fit. With this one, it's so big that I had to take out 2 frames to make it fit. This feeder does not disappoint. Common design that has proven effective. The quality of this one is very good and if you need a hive feeder for your deep frames. I can happily recommend this one.
