I just needed a couple line levels for a project. Didn't need 4 but bought these as they were inexpensive. I have a perfectly level welding table and out came my small plastic string levels. Right out of the package 2 of them were off by quite a bit. I could see the way the vials were slipped into the plastic housing a piece of extruded plastic interfered. Popped out the vial, touched up the plastic seat with a razor knife, reseated to holder and super glued in place. All OK, but you shouldn't have to do that. A level should come to you LEVEL. The frame is plastic, so it could warp over time. Its a string level, so just check it with a good level before hanging it and it should work. If you buy these, MAKE SURE you test them on a known level surface and then use a little super glue to permanently hold the bubble vial in the holder. Be aware they are plastic and if they get hot or stressed it likely will throw them off. Consider them sort of a throw away for odd ball projects, but always test with know level surface first. ... show more

Ordered the red set and they were not accurate. I was wondering why and started to think the land was that much off. I removed the string from the stakes and tried again and the readings were still way off. After examining the set I noticed the glass tube starts to pop out from the plastic. If you push it back in you will get a somewhat correct reading again but be skeptical. I had to use all four of them to make sure I was getting a level grade line. I double and triple checked and good thing I noticed the error or my post lights in the yard would be different heights. To check if they are accurate lay them on a known level surface. Do not handle them roughly or bounce them around or the glass tube will start to detach from the plastic. ... show more
