I ordered this set of automotive connector tools to overcome the difficulty of unplugging the ones with a catch that must be depressed to release the connectors. These tools are pretty heavy, well made, and should last forever. The 5 tools in this set seem to be the most useful of the larger sets. The odd looking pliers are for pressing that catch that holds the connectors together. Pressing it with my finger is usually unsuccessful on my 20 year old wiring harness. These pliers make depressing the catch easy if there is room to reach the connector, which is usually the case. If not, the electrical connector separator tool may work by slipping the tool between the plug and the socket to release the catch. The clip removal tool is much more likely to allow removal of those little black clips without damaging them than other methods. I also find it helpful in getting small hoses loose. The spring clamp pliers are most effective on coolant hoses with constant pressure spring clamps. They work so much better than regular pliers, which typically slip off repeatedly. I haven’t needed the hose clamp pliers yet as the car I work on doesn’t use that type of clamp. The set comes with a nice carrying case and some gloves. These tools are a real time and aggravation saver for stubborn connectors, fragile clips, and coolant hose spring clamps. They are a good value for these certain tasks.

The KJYIOY Automotive Electrical Disconnect Pliers Kit is a must-have specialty toolset for any pro or DIYer. It completely takes the guesswork and pain out of removing friction hose clamps, wiring harnesses, and door panel clips that easily break when you use normal tools. One thing that is wrong with this kit is they refer to it as a "6PCS" but there's only 5 tools. The case seems to be the 6th piece, but this is a bit off putting and can come off deceptive with the title to some. As if to look like you're getting more tools than other kits. I did look at the tools before ordering, so I verified exactly what I was getting. I still like the kit, but come on. Fix the description to say "5PCS". The Highlights: Saves Your Connectors: Using screwdrivers or regular pliers to release tight brackets or plastic clips usually ends in broken parts. These specialty pliers compress locking push tabs safely, ensuring you don't break them and waste time replacing the entire wire or terminal, which I've done plenty of times. Wasted a lot of time. Excellent Organization: The durable carrying case keeps all 5 pieces organized and accessible. You won’t have to dig through your toolbox or put off a job because you lack the exact removal tool. Solid Ergonomics: The metal is sturdy enough to last for years on lighter jobs, and the rubber handles provide a comfortable, secure grip for longer repairs. Great Value: At this price point....especially when a coupon is available...you are getting necessary tools for less than five dollars each. It easily pays for itself by preventing a single broken connector. Things to Consider:The included gloves are quite thin and not very impressive and the tension springs aren't 'industrial' tough. So I wouldn't recommend throwing them around as the springs could possibly come off and get lost, but I doubt it. The springs are on pretty tight. However, the true value of the kit lies entirely in the quality of the pliers and the protective storage case. Final Verdict: This is a highly practical, budget-friendly set that both automotive and home DIYers should have on standby. It saves your knuckles and protects your delicate electrical parts from damage. Definitely recommended.

My husband works on Teslas and picked up this kit to use on electrical connectors, clips, and hose clamps. The tools have a decent feel in the hand and the variety of pliers is useful for different automotive tasks. The angled designs make it easier to reach tight spots, and the grips are comfortable. That said, the metal doesn’t feel as solid as professional‑grade tools, and he’s concerned they may bend or break if used with any real force. The included gloves are not practical for adult use. They run extremely small—he ended up giving them to our 10‑year‑old son, and they fit him perfectly. The storage case is lightweight but keeps everything organized and easy to transport. Very good quality tools. Not so easy to get 2 back into the straps of the case , but that's not a big deal for me. Good for removing some automotive clips, removing some hose clamps. Haven't found a use for one of them yet but am sure I will in time. Nice addition to my tool box.

These tools seem well made and durable! They have comfortable grips, come with a nice sturdy case to keep everything organized, and they even throw in gloves. The gloves feel a bit like a cheap afterthought, but I don’t mind because I got this kit for the tools themselves.
