We bought this simply for adding brightness to our backyard. Meanwhile, it is decorative to our house at outside. Our neighbors said it looked beautiful in the evening. We were satisfied with its lighting feature. We bought it at a promotional price around $70, which I think it was worth of it. But be careful when you open box to check the parts to see if there is something like screws or caps missing, also check if there is any scratches on the base and tree trunk. Overall we enjoyed it.

I thought I should have one ever since moving to Florida in 2001 for a Christmas tree and now I have it with a few ornaments hanging from the palms. Off season it will be my Margarita Lamp. It will get a lot of use ! Btw - built sturdy and enough lights.

I purchased the 5ft & 7ft lighted palm set after reading many positive reviews. I thought this would be a high quality and high value product. I set both trees up and they were freestanding on my flat driveway. Lit up they looked fantastic. I moved both trees where I wanted them in the front yard and secured them with the stakes that were included. While securing the stakes into the 7ft tree the pole snapped clear from the base it was soldered onto, revealing a very weak and slightly rusted connection. Knocked me flat over when it fell onto my back and a coconut even landed on my head. I took pictures immediately. Upon going through the “report a problem” tab on Amazon I find out I’m required to take apart both trees, put them back into their MASSIVE box, figure out how to transport it to a shipping facility, all for them to either return the money I spent or to ship me another (probably defective) product to spend additional time assembling and setting up. It's a shame because the trees would have be perfect otherwise. Instead I'm left with disappointment having spent money on poor quality, a tough customer service process, and a chore. I suggest looking elsewhere for a better product that won't get you hopes up just to dash them.

Ok, now when I first opened the box I thought this thing was a piece of garbage... I put it together anyways, which was a fairly easy process, with the most "difficult" part being the arranging of the fronds and the coconuts to make it look like a palm tree. It went from "garbage" to a new favorite decoration. We wanted something tropical (akin to that beer commercial) in the yard for Christmas. This is it! This is EXACTLY what we wanted! Right now I have it staked in the front yard by our flagpole, but plan to move it and screw it on top of a 3-1/2 foot wood dog fence around our front porch area to make it more visible from the road. At first impression, the price seemed high, but now - completely worth it! Nobody else in the neighborhood will have anything like this! I would give it 5 stars if it had a remote, 6 stars if it had a remote and colors/pattern/music options. You have to press the button on the plug to make it come on for 6 hours, but it will then come on at the same 6 hours every day. I might get some lights with more options to decorate it for Christmas, but it's really good enough just like it is. I refer to the style as "totally cool, cheesy, chic goodness"! So close to being totally awesome! Love it!
