Update: My friend was able to fix this and we got a new bulb too. Again would have been a solid 5 if not for having to fix it. truly Original Review: My wife and I installed this on the roof. we had tried it below and it was daylight so it was hard to tell that any lights were on. But it appeared they were. We got it up there and plugged it in. As we were placing it the first reindeer just stopped glowing. I unzipped it and tried to gently tighten the bulb but it appeared to be the wiring. We didn’t do anything or abuse it. We have over 4 dozen other inflatables and no issues. Pros * it’s gorgeous. * it fills up in seconds * again it’s amazing * blower is powerful * easy to anchor the blower with the 4 holes * the lights are decent not great but from the road in the dark it’s great to see Santa. But with the first reindeer out it also makes the second one not show up as well. Santa and the other reindeer look good but could be brighter. We are bummed but since we were already up there and not as young as we used to be, we left it the way it was. We kept trying to fix it but the light would shine for a few minutes and stop. Make sure if you plan to mount it, that your turn it on and let it run for at least 10-15 minutes. If the lights are good then install it. The other CON is that I wish they would put tabs on the feet versus just on the sides of the reindeer and definitely on Santa. This would alleviate other issues when mounting in certain circumstances. ... show more

Thin / cheap material. Motor is okay. One of the lights in the reindeer didn’t work when I set it up. Easy fix but annoying. It’s okay for the price. Plan to keep it.

I displayed this on the flat roof of my garage. After reading other reviews, I decided to build a platform with eye hooks down the sides for the tie downs to give them some extra stability. It stayed in place ok, but when the wind blows, the reindeer would turn on their side & I would have to go set them back upright. They could be brighter too. Next year, I may try to figure out a way to add more lights. It is a very cute piece & the grandbabies loved it… ... show more

It looks good and is a good size. I put it on my roof. Disclaimer - I used A LOT of string to tie it down and protect it against the wind. Stapled it's own ties to my roof and then tied strings from it to the gutters and chimney. At night you can't see the strings, so I was ok with it. Only issue I have is the lights went out on 2 of the reindeer after just one holiday season. ... show more

First inflation the middle rain deer didn’t light up. Had to get inside rain deer body an fix socket. Had to untie light tether and with little wiggle room tie it back up. All seems well so far.

Poor lighting in deer when lights are on you can’t see heads of deer only lights the body’s up and lights keep going out in front 2 deer very nice display except lighting

I have this mounted on my (flat) garage roof. It looks great up there and all the lights and everything works fine. My problem is that I have had to continually refine how I have this held down. Each unit has convenient tie-down loops, which I have attached to bricks with some twine. But the sucker still has refused to inflate properly after some relatively minor wind conditions. And each time I have to get up on the ladder to re-arrange things. Not sure what my next step is. I think I will built a stand with hooks to precisely locate each tie down cord for each unit out of a 2x4, and with the 2x4 held down by two bricks. I have a neighbor up the street with the same unit on his garage roof - and the same problem! But it is really cute, so I will keep at it! ... show more
