I got this to use as a TV stand in a guest bedroom. I needed something higher than the usual TV stand because it's set up to watch from bed. I've purchased several pieces of inexpensive furniture from Amazon, as well as many over the years from Ikea. This desk was so inexpensive I almost passed it by thinking it couldn't be that nice. It came well packaged. Even though the box had some damage there was no damage inside. There are a lot of pieces, but they are all numbered and the instruction book is one of the best I've seen. You do need to pay attention to the numbers though, several of the metal pieces look alike unless you examine them closely. But the diagrams are explicit and every piece has a number attached. It took a couple of hours to assemble, but it isn't difficult. I did it by my self, one person can manage it. It came with all the tools needed, including a screw driver that's actually nice! I usually use my own tools for these things but the ones that came with this are much better than usual, good enough to keep for other projects. The laminate surfaces look like what they are, but the pattern is quite nice and it blends well with our dark wood dressers and bed. It's industrial look with the combination of dark brown and black metal blends with our traditional walnut furniture. The drawers are cloth with a laminate front. They are pretty sturdy though and have a tight fitting solid bottom. If I were using it as a desk I'd add solid divider trays to keep them clean and organized. I suggest looking at the last page of the instructions, you can assemble it with the drawers as shown, or you can put all or 3 on one side if you want. Its a very hackable design, if I were using it as a computer desk I'd probably add a keyboard drawer in the center because it's quite shallow. The shallow design works very well for my TV. I'll probably add a cloth curtain to the knee cubby for my subwoofer. There's a lot to like with this desk, and given the price there's nothing bad. Its utilitarian but attractive and quite sturdy.

I ordered the longer length of this desk. It takes up quite a bit of wall space, but the width from front to back is more narrow than a typical desk so the the desk does not actually take up too much floor space. It was fairly easy to put together as all the parts are clearly labeled and the instructions were clearly laid out. Once assembled, everything looks great. What I am not sure about is the drawers. They are the fabric variety that you pop open and place a stiff board in to hold their shape. They are made of a much thicker/sturdier fabric than the average drawers of this type, so hopefully they will surprise me and hold up better than I am expecting. The drawers are a good size, and the shelving beneath is also a great place to stack small totes or books. Overall, its a great desk at a reasonable price.

This is a great looking and lightweight desk to have in my home. It is large enough and has plenty of room for everything. The drawers are made from a durable fabric with a solid bottom that installs into them. This may not be ideal for some people, but they work just fine for my needs as I don't set a lot of heavy items into them. The drawers can also be configured to best suit you also, 2 on each side, 4 on one side or the other, 3 and 1, and so on. I also love the rustic and industrial style of it also. It fits right in with my home decor. It was very easy to assemble and seems to be very sturdy. I am very pleased with this desk and its looks and versatility.

What is a "just big enough" sized desk you may be wondering - for me, it's one that allows me to fit all my necessities but doesn't offer much space for clutter to build up on. I'm the type of worker that will encroach on any and every open desk top space and generate dozens of doom piles. This desk is not going to give space for that and allows focus on just what's in front - works for me but my fellow WFH significant other finds it an excellent attribute as I don't have a place to load piles onto and have to tidy up routinely. That said this is a decent sized simple desk. The white color is a nice pristine white flows with any space in my opinion. Straight out not the box it seemed like there would be so much assembly because of how compact everything was packed in. It did go by much faster than I anticipated and finished in about 45 minutes using the included tools. The desk itself is relatively lightweight and is easy to move around and into position. The desk does include 4 soft, flexible pull out drawers that have a leather-esque texture on the front panel. Feels to be made of some sort of thick cardboard. The desk does have flexible configuration and I personally chose to have 2 drawers in each side but could have had all 4 on just one side of I needed to accommodate a desktop tower. Neither the desk top nor drawers would be suitable to hold heavy items, especially long-term. For size reference, I work with a 23" monitor and 15.6" laptop along with small desk decor and still have sufficient workspace to take notes with notepads and pens. The only real drawback is the durability and the thickness of every piece is similar to cheaply made bookshelves so I'm convinced that over time areas that hold heavy items will eventually start to warp and bend. I have the desk placed on carpet so it isn't wobbly but the frame itself is also very thin. More sturdy drawer material and a thicker frame would definitely benefit the product but come at the exchange of weight and ease to move.
