I was struggling to understand some parts if not most of the bible and I knew I needed some help. I didn't want to just read the bible I wanted to understand it and more importantly at my own pace. This book is indeed heaven sent, no pressure just take it day by day, by reading the passage and the messages in the book it helped me to understand it more; it gives examples of how this may have occurred in your life and how you responded. The journal notes to me are a bonus as it helps me to reflect more on my own life past and present. The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this book! I have it 4 stars only because I couldn't give 4.5 stars. I took away the half star because there are three (3) weeks in the book that the Bible readings don't match up with the Bible reflections. I am just starting in with really delving into a Bible because I'm trying to strengthen my faith with knowledge and understanding... so I looked and looked for a good Bible study book and found this one. Don't get me wrong, the book is great, but I feel like this kind of thing would've had better quality control before it hit the book stores. But I'll just read all the extra ones because it can't hurt me at all! Definitely recommend buying this book! Hopefully the author reads this and pushes for the missteps to be corrected. ... show more
