This is a review for the Embroidery ORGAN needles 90/14 and 75/11 I’m not a professional tailor or work as a tailor I do like to do and make my own things here and there since I was around 12 and didn’t have the money to buy a Speedo swimsuit I made my own using some jersy I found around in the house, I used my grand mother’s Singer, lol that was something (green). So bought these embroidery needles because with some extra time on my hands I done quite a few and now I need to buy needles without breaking the bank so I ordered 30 needles 90/14 and 30 needles 75/11 and off to do some embroidery with a proper needles. I found the 90/14 needles to work just fine for me, I’m using plain cotton and flour sac textiles and for thread just plain 100% polyester 40wt (I’ll be writing a review on that too) The 90/14 needles can handle a good speed without breaking the thread maybe because the wider shank and groove, that is what I think in the other hand I used the 75/11 ORGAN needles and right a way the problem starts with thread breaking, don’t know exactly what is going on, but the thread gets all messed up. So now I tested the ORGAN 75/11 on thin cotton and the results are much better, no longer broke the thread either at slow or fast speed ( I have a home sewing machine ok, no heavy duty) I’ll be uploading some pictures of the needles next to some universal Singer 90/14 and 80/11 needles and I find the ORGAN needles just a hair or two shorter and maybe because I’m not a professional I really can’t tell the difference between regular/universal and the embroidery needles. The good: ORGAN 90/14 embroidery needles performed well under all clothing cotton, double-layer and also at various speeds. For the money and for my needs this was a good buy. ORGAN 75/11 embroidery needles didn’t do well under either regular o double-layer or speed, but it handles thin cotton well at various speeds The bad: There are some imperfections on the eye edges, but I also see them on the more expensive brand.
