I didn't want a rigid cardboard because they need to go out with a stamped envelope and the machines at the post office won't approve if letters can't make it through their sorting machines. If you need backboards for your art prints, order now. I was hesitant because of complaints that the boards were "flimsy". They are what you expect from thin cut cardboard. If you stand one straight up, it'll hold it's shape and be just fine. If you try to bend the board.. it's not going to hold up. They were exactly what I wanted. As chipboard goes these are well made but very thin and I purchased medium weight! I had to glue them in layers to get the thickness I needed and then they warped. Yes, heavy board on top, blah blah. Still a bother when you purchase what claimed to be medium weight. These are lightweight boards, that is all you need to be aware of. ... show more

I should have read the description more carefully. My planned use for it was to make a sturdy box. It's not the stiff kind of chipboard I was looking for. I liked the thinness but this one is bendable and is more for use when mailing photos so they don't get bent. I can probably try to use it for other paper crafting purposes. ... show more
