This unit is sturdy and at the same time light-weight. It was a little tricky getting the first shelf onto the four posts by myself, but once I got that on it took about 15 minutes to finish. I live in an apartment where storage space is minimal. I had all my seasonal decorations in the top of my closet and stacked on the floor. I usually build my own shelves in closets but this move I couldn't. I bought these shelves to use in a closet that was going to become my pantry. Putting them together takes a little finesse -- not a lot but a little -- but once they are together they are very sturdy. The only downside I noticed, after I began filling the shelves with the pantry items, is that the wire shelves aren't solid enough for some of the boxes. I ended up finding thin plastic cutting boards to put on top of the wire shelves where I had smaller boxes. They look so clean and it is organized the way I like it. ... show more

Buyers > ONE thing to NOTE: These shelves could be concidered upside down - compares to other RACKS - because there's a 1" lip so your items sit into the shelf vs sliding things right off.     • Design is a little weird when putting together

This is a pretty nice shelf and looks good in our pantry. Putting it together was a little weird/frustrating. There were these little plastic pieces that basically wedge themselves between the poles and the loops where the shelves slide on, and half the time when you pushed the shelf down onto the pole, the plastic pieces would go flying and you'd have to start over. So it took longer to put together than expected, but it ended up being worth it in the end. It holds a lot of weight and the shelves are good material. ... show more
