Description

We offer raw green unroasted coffee beans for the home roaster who enjoys roasting their own coffee beans at home. Unroasted coffee beans must be roasted prior to use for brewing. Roasting coffee can be a very simple process, or it can be a real work of art created by an experienced artisan. The roasting process has always been a mysterious kind of thing considered to be a closely guarded process of proprietary roasting profiles kept only for the privileged artisans “in the know” with sophisticated commercial roasting equipment. In recent years this has changed substantially with the new wave of home coffee roasters trying their hand at the roasting craft. They have learned many of the tricks of time and temperature modulating their own flavor profiles creating their own works of art in the cup. Coffee is a universal drink loved by many people, some for-taste others seeking the caffeine but when you roast it at home it takes on a whole new appeal. Your coffee quest becomes an intensely personal adventure where you are in control of many aspects of taste results. Roasting is truly a rewarding experience where the more experience you get the better your coffee tastes. Basically, you heat the beans to around 400F to 450F in about 10-15 minutes time period. Once the beans reach your desired doneness or “brown” simply remove them from the heat and cool to room temperature as quickly as possible. After this you can use them to brew coffee! When you buy our beans, you can rest assured that you are getting fresh current crop beans from some of the best coffee plantations in the world. We believe that the best taste comes from premium high-altitude growing regions. We source our beans with great care, ensuring that the farmers are paid fairly for their time and product. When you buy our beans, you are supporting the communities in which beans were grown ensuring equity for all. Invest in our premium high-quality beans, taking your roasting experience to the next level!

  • Really good coffee for the price per pound!
Very good flavor, and the price is right. I use a city-roast (barely). I hope this will still be available when I get thru this 5 pound bag. Tip for Keurig users - This peaberry makes a great cup of coffee, if you have the Javajig refillable k-cups. I stopped making it by the pot, and just use the refillable cups now since I tend to waste some of the pot (just 2 drinkers in the house). ... show more

  • My go-to coffee!
I have purchased this multiple times and will continue to as long as the quality remains as high as it is. I roast my own beans and I bought these mainly for the price and the fact that they were Tanzian peaberry. I never find a bad bean or anything of poor quality. Very impressed and will continue to purchase. Actually just roasted the last of this last batch. Time to restock! ... show more

  • These Coffee Beans Are INCREDIBLE These Coffee Beans Are INCREDIBLE
First of all, every reviewer complaining about the size of the beans clearly knows nothing about the peaberry varietal. Peaberries are called that because they are smaller than standard beans. These are exactly the right size for peaberries, and if you know what you're doing, you can adjust your roasting heat/time to make sure you get an even roast. That said, my husband and I LOVE these beans. They have the best smell while roasting, the roast was even and perfect, the resulting coffee had rich and balanced flavor. We've always done Tanzanian Peaberry, and this was our first time doing Brazilian. I am a HUGE fan. We will definitely order again! ... show more

  • Best coffee I've made yet!
Love these beans. I roast them in small batches, grind them and prepare them with pour over. Such a delicious cup of coffee. I'm spoiled now and cannot stand pre-roasted coffee.

  • Many defective beans Many defective beans
Very low quality coffee beans full of mold and many other defects sold as high quality specialty coffee

  • Good value for the money.
The peaberry beans are half the size you're going to expect if you buy whole bean coffee. I'll comment more on the flavor after I roast my next few batches and get dialed in. The first one ended up on the darker side because I let the heat of the pan get away from me towards the end.

  • Awesome cup of coffee!!!
These beans are great. I roasted them medium and expresso, very good taste!
