The media could not be loaded. This little prayer book was fast and sweet. The scriptures are short but as for the authors personal stories of reflection I found that my Owen personal reflection was more personal and my friends that took part in the gathering of the Advent Lightnings, like my stories best. I guess it is because I have loved what was being used as a reflection of the readings. You could so the same also. I like this prayer book because it is light weight easy to read from.     • Wonderful for Advent!
This is a gem for Advent! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this book for our Advent this year. My children even ended memorizing the closing prayer that is included for each day. I highly recommend this for both individuals as well as families and look forward to using it again next year!

I love that Lisa added in the beginning of the book, suggestions on ways to use it. I really like the readings and the prompts afterwards for pondering, journaling, or conversations. I liked the idea of 5 minutes to lead this lovely tradition. Lisa included ideas for using the book for both adults and children. The introduction had helpful hints. I am looking forward to using it.
