The design works as described in movement but it's not smooth by any sense. I had to disassemble it, file it to a smoother finish to get it to work more consistently without a herky jerky motion when shifting the clamp left or right or forward or backward.

Materials are of high quality. However, every fastener on the vice was loose, the tension rails do not stay in place, and one of the axis screws was frozen. After spending some time I have made it operational. Disappointed.

Poor quality cross slide vise.

At first glance it looks like a nice vise. But when you try to use it, the cross slide screws are very loose in their mountings. Many parts are loose or not properly made. I am a fabricator with many years of experience and have never seen this poor of quality. Not sure if I will return it for replacement. The replacement may be worse than the one I have. I need a cross slide vise for a current project. Not happy at all. Buy at own risk.
