First this is a quality product. Looks great and works as advertised except it doesn't push or circulate air as much as I expected it to do. I can barely feel the air off it standing two feet away. Now I'm using it on a propane stove and it may work better on a wood burning stove. The heat off propane burners has its own current and it may just be over powering the air off the fan. I don't know. But it stirs the air and even after I cut the propane stove off, the fan works for 20+mins until it cools down. So it helps some. Just not as much as I was hoping. I bought this little fan to distribute heat from my gas fireplace in case of a power outage. I finally got ro use it last week when the lights went out. The room that the gas fireplace is in was significantly warmer with the fan than it had been the last time the power went out and I didn't have it. Worked wonderfully...for about exactly one year. Just stopped working, motor must have died or a bearing or something seized in the fan. I played with it a bit, but the fan simply quit the other day and that's it. Quiet, great fan whole it actually worked...To be fair we run out stove a lot so the fan spins nearly the entire winter, but we don't overfire our stove. ... show more

Delivery was prompt. Too early to comment on heat distribution and performance. However, the description includes a magnetic thermometer yet the package as received did not include one. I would also say the unit is smaller than I expected. This is not a dig on the product. We have to wait for the stove to be up and running to make that decision. Just an initial perception. Trying to figure out how to contact the seller about the thermometer. I do NOT plan on returning the fan. Just disappointed on the failure to include the thermometer as stated above. ... show more
