What do you get when you buy a cheap vise? A cheap vise. There are several defects in the castings which makes one question the castings. I haven't pounded on the anvil yet because there is a chunk of casting missing. There are only 3 mounting holes for some reason. It looks like there were meant to be 4 but it was patched at that point. I am going to be pounding on this to bend aluminum pieces and I hope it holds up. ... show more

There are definitely higher quality vices on the market. I will be using mine as a hobbies doing small projects that need to be held in place. I would not buy this and expect to be able to abuse it and not have something break. Overall it’s a decent vice.
