I enjoy consistency. Knowing that the 5.11 Apex come in identical pants and shorts, not to mention all the color options, made them a clear choice. These have an insane amount of freedom and mobility while still being made out of durable fabric that will actually protect you if your bushwacking. The thing that sells these best is the cargo pockets. I hate having my wallet in my back pocket and much prefer it in a cargo pocket. However, most cargo short/pants just look raggedy and baggey. These are sleek and the pants are professional enough to wear to the office since the expansion for the pockets is on the inside. The final thing that makes these awesome is the distance between the bottom of the crotch and the waistband. Got these with a 42 inch waist and they fit well considering I prefer to wear my shorts loose due to my gut and larger than average bum. The stretch fabric helps. These shorts are great. They fit well and have a good stretch to them, so when you're carrying they don't get over tight. And when you're not, they still fit great. Repels water and dirt to look nice between washes.
