Just got mine, so I haven't used it a lot but so far here is what I've found. Takes good 4k video and appears to be able to put about 2.5 hours of video on the card that comes with it. But, the anti-shake is either turned off on mine (can't find a way to turn it off/on), or it doesn't do much. Any hand held video (even using the handle which is usually fairly stable) is going to be jittery. So, either learn to like Blair Witch Project style of video, or get a decent tri or mono pod. Will update this review if I learn any more after more use. UPDATE: The only issue I've run into is that in bright light everything gets a yellow cast that requires a hue adjustment during editing. I've tried every white balance setting and none of them fix the issue ( one of them replaces the yellow cast with a blue one, yuck). ... show more

    • Limit expectations
There are just way too many similar products like this on the market to make it clear decision as to which one is superior. First of all I just opened this and within 5 minutes the hot shoe fell off. That is part of the camera that you can't put back on. It should be soldered or welded permanently in place but it just fell off. The build quality on this is not very high. It's also extremely limited. If you want to take high-definition video you're going to be able to do that. Probably slightly higher quality than your phone. But then phone's cost a lot more so I think it's reasonable to expect that this camera would take clean video in good circumstances. I'm not sure how it will perform in low light I'm not sure how well the image stabilization will perform. This very limited functions for changing settings. And I really have no way of knowing how this performs against other similar priced cameras. I have a very specific use for this and it's not much. We'll see how it goes. I'd give it three stars but I just can't give it that high of a score when it's falling apart moments after delivery. ... show more

    • Video is ok, audio is horrible!
I know this is a low priced camera to start with, but I would expect better quality. The autofocus kind of works sometimes, the zoom does so-so and the audio is horrible. The camera has a built in microphone internally that doesn’t turn off unless you turn off all audio. So I used several good quality external microphones to test it and every one had this horrible echo that sounded like it was under water. If I use it without an external microphone, all of the audio is muffled & sounds like it’s under water. Just unacceptable for me. In comparison, an iPhone 8 has far better video, focus, zoom, and audio. ... show more

    • Not for quality work
The digital zoom was not expected to be great but this is terrible. 4K has little or no value in this camera. Snapshots output is its best feature but the basic cell phone takes better pictures. The operating documentation of the camera and the remote is not well done. It leaves a lot for you to figure out on your own. One feature I miss is to have a recording indicator light on the front of the camera. I work in front to the right side of the camera but I need to look around to the screen to verify it is recording or paused. The swing out screen is a bit flimsy as well as the material used to construct the camera. The look of the camera is simply cosmetic, there are no focus or zoom rings. The EV goes from -3 to +3 but I work under bright studio (art painting studio) lights and EV -3 isn't enough. I see know way to add a UV, polarizer or neutral density filter. Generally speaking, to get a fair video, I need the camera within 1 or 2 feet of the canvas because any amount of zoom destroys the already poor quality. I didn't expect a lot for the cost but I expected more than what I got. I thought it would be okay until my primary camera is repaired. But I am better off using my SLR video or cell phone. Total waste of money. I don't see this camera being used it for anything... maybe for a zoom meeting. Not everything is all bad... The size, weight, battery life is good, the look is good and the screen view and size are great. ... show more

This video camera is amazing. I love the accessories it came with, especially the light and extra mic. I have enjoyed playing around with all of the different settings for both video and photo modes, and testing out what works best for different subjects. It is very cool that there is a night vision light and setting. I was also very pleased that it came with a memory card as well as a nice portable case for both the camera and the accessories. I am super happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile video camera! ... show more

    • No manual focus and jittery video when panning, no matter how slow the camera movement.
This camcorder is about 70% positive on a 100% scale. Why there is no manual focus is beyond me. Also, the zoom functions at one speed with no way to zoom slow. The video stutters when panning, no matter how slow you pan. Add a smooth pan, a manual focus ring, and smooth zoom and you would have a great camcorder.
