I bought this to switch my key bay and monitor and headset between my two lap tops. It worked well the first few days, but the screen would go dark from time to time for 2-20 seconds. Often this happens several times in a row. Sometimes it won’t switch and I have to unplug the switch button and plug it back and then it may work. I’m going to live with it until I find a better switch, but it’s very frustrating at times. ... show more

using this to switch between 2 laptops one win 10, the other 11. if i start in win 11, everything works, great, then switching to the win 10 laptop, also great. The problem is switching back to win 11 from 10. the mouse and keyboard start showing random delays, and if i'm using the keyboard, it acts like the key was held down for the short time the computer was 'frozen' during these tiny hiccups i've tried using the laptops trackpad and keyboard without issue. which persists when i tried a separate mouse, unplugging the kvm mouse, only rebooting makes this stop. right i've just been using the KB and mouse, i'll update if having a monitor plugged in makes a difference ... show more

    • Remarkable value for a KVM Switcher

This had most of my key requirements: HDMI plus two USB connects to switch between two computer with a remote switch. It did miss the 60 Hz HDMI capability, but for the price that was absolutely forgivable. I probably would have preferred to be able to use my own cabling (And specific lengths) between the box and my computers, but with the remote switch, locating the box anywhere made that less critical, and it does save on cable costs. I connected a webcam (So I can have the video feed centered over my monitor, and not use the laptop camera)) and the keyboard and mouse through a USB hub - Everything works/switches fine. Two things to note - I had originally connected my 4K monitor to my laptop, and it was set to 60 Hz. I didn't get any video until I manually adjusted the refresh rate to 30 Hz (The switch's maximum). I had no issues with my desktop, but that's an antique that only supports 4K at 30 Hz, anyway. If you have issues with no video, double-check your refresh rate. I also turned off the "Disconnect-Reconnect" sounds in Windows - It makes switching less annoying. Based on the price, I am totally satisfied with the switch, and would buy it again. ... show more

Now that I am full time working from home, there are certain apps and programs I can not use on the company laptop. Also the company laptop has usb storage data loss prevention and sites blocked so any personal data created is not easily obtained. So instead of having two screens and keyboards I purchased this TXR USB KVM switch. The front of the switch has a mouse icon with usb port, then the shared HDMI port, a keyboard icon with usb port, and the round connector port. This is a button that is the size of a dime that you press that switches the keyboard mouse and video from my personal mini computer box and work laptop. The blue LED on top will light up on PC1 or PC2 when you press the button. The connectors to the two computers have built in with thick end protection for hdmi and single USB cable to represent both the keyboard and mouse. The underside has small mounting holes in case I want to hide this unit and install under my desk to save workspace real estate. ... show more

This worked well. I'm liked the simplicity. Unfortunately the cables gave out somewhere and it became a brick. I got a little kvm box with separate cables that works just as well, and if a cable fails I can replace it.

    • It depends on what you need this switch for.

The product does what it is intended to do. (TLDR: Fine for productivity; Bad for gaming) Positives: If you are just looking to use it from a productivity standpoint where you are working with 2 PCs, then this will get the job done. Negatives (for me): 1. My G710+ keyboard uses a dual USB connector from the keyboard. The mouse plugs into the keyboard which passes those signals through the 2nd USB keyboard connection. Even though I plugged the keyboard USB connector into the keyboard pass through and mouse USB connector into the mouse pass through into this switch correctly, the single USB connection from the switch to each PC did not allow either PC to recognize the keyboard or mouse. I used my spare keyboard (single USB connector) and the mouse separately and that worked fine, but there is a reason that is my spare keyboard, so that usage option was eliminated for me. 2. There is graphical lag playing any games when passing the HDMI signal through the switch that is not present with a direct connection. I have a PC setup for older games that I own and enjoy playing and recently built a newer PC to keep up with current/future games, which is the reason I thought to pick up this switch so I could reduce my setup down to a single monitor/keyboard/mouse. ... show more
