Just a standard thread protector. Screwed on very nice, is textured for some grip and it's the perfect length for my threaded 1911 barrel. Haven't shot it yet with the protector in place but I don't see any problems happening when I do

Colors were bright, looked great. Reasons why I didn't give it a 5 star was because a little of water was spilled on it n it stained really ugly. Thankfully we had a balloon arch so it was easy to cover up. Other reason was it duck tape was put on the front n color came off
