The camera is fine and makes good pictures, the only problem is that despite what the ad above says, two different 128GB cards - one being a brand-new SanDisk Class 10 full size - that my computer can read, can't be used by this camera. Both 32GB and 64GB SD cards, either full size, or micro SD in adapter, work fine. I mean, if it said it takes up to a 128GB SD card, it should. If it had said it only supports up to a 64GB card, I'd still have bought it, which is why I'm keeping it as it does what it should do, produce 4K 30FPS video, but I'd be giving it 5 stars. ... show more

Several Concerns: Purchased HDMI camera expecting to CAPTURE HDMI to an external HDMI Capture adapter and use the active display signal while simultaneously recording and/or streaming video and audio. Instead, with this model, while the HDMI display screen is attached, upon pressing RECORD, recording does NOT start... instead displayed on screen a big box, reads: "Prompting --- Does not support this operation" I had to disconnect the HDMI display in order to record video The User's Manual does not present this topic at all. Also, during the time the camera was attached to an audio/mic interface, at all times if the USB charger cord is attached to charge the battery while in use, electronic hissing noise makes the audio signal completely unusable. Audio plays great if battery charger is not attached. Shockingly, battery life was less than 45 mins of recording time before completely draining. That was after four hours of charging borh batteries until the red lights turned blue. This model has to be taken off the tripod to replace SD Card and battery through bottom of unit --- constant handling is going to wear out everything. ... show more

I bought this camera to record videos on trips. The material is very durable and the compact design allows it to be carried around easily. The picture quality is amazing and I am able to effortlessly take pictures without any problems.

My honest review is that this is a nice camcorder but don't expect to take 1080p photos with it because it's false advertisement. I purchased this product in order to take product photos to upload my product pictures to amazon, ebay and etc. After giving it a through testing I've found out that the only way to get good photos for your products is to not take up close and personal pictures as the closer you are to the products the blurrier the photos will be. So with my product light box which requires up close photography this camcorder did not do the trick and I've gotten 100% better results using the hd function on my android phone for taking product pictures. Perhaps this camera is only good for recording videos but I'm not 100% sold on that either. I don't know about 4k or even 1080p for the video recording attributes but for the photography review I can tell you ahead of time to just get a real photography camera, it's best to spend $500 to $1000 on a real photography camera for taking pictures instead of trying to cut corners and purchase cheap. A lot of good came out of this purchase though, I was able to purchase everything I needed to start my own photography business except for the camera. overall it took me about 4 hours to figure out all the features and add-ons and how to install and uninstall, hd connectivity functions to the television and computer, microphone and how it works. The microphone works perfectly, very loud and clear once you figure out the right settings to put it on. This is not an adults camcorder though, this is definitely for children and I wouldn't even say amateurs, I would keep this for children. I've kind of liked this camcorder so I decided to keep it but it's small like the size of a can sprite or a can Coke. The batteries drain fairly fast as In about 25 to 45 minutes of straight non-stop use and you're in the red bars. I also would say to not drop it as it feels like it will break if it took one good bang on a hard surface floor. Other than that you get what you pay for so please read the descriptions of the customers and not the sellers description. It's just not crystal clear for viewing and that's the main area a camcorder or a camera should be leading at. Overall a 3 out of 5 for a child's rating and a 1 out of 5 for an adults and for product photos rating. Don't trust the sellers product description it is definitely not true. ... show more

I read all of the negative reviews. I won't do that again as it did not give me any of the real information I needed. My son the professional photographer gave me the information I needed, The issue with most of the cameras in this price range is simply light. These are not low light devices. I use this device outside during the day or inside with plenty of light and it is awesome! I don't like the beep when zooming in or our but for me, most of the time I set the zoom before I start recording. I don't use the microphone most of the time so I do not have an opinion one way or the other about it. The price and the quality at this point are perfect and I have little or nothing negative to say about it. My advice is to not think you are getting a bargain. Great camera. The controls are simple and easy to use. The picture quality is great and it is one of the best I have seen. The zoom feature allows me to capture images from far away with very high detail. Would definitely recommend.

It records in 4k, but I wouldn’t record it in 4k 60fps. I don’t think the camera can record it in that mode. I decided to record in 4k 30fps and it was smooth playback. On the other hand with the 4k 60 fps one. It was really bad, choppy, and buffering. I would also tweak with the iso settings as it helps improve the video quality by just a tad bit. The mic quality is utter trash and I would not use it, I’m in the process of buying another camera mic and replacing it with the one that was given with this one. ... show more

OEM has a suspicious setup with simple guess WiFi password and a requirement to use Location services without explanation. I almost afraid to use this device or the associated app but I will anyway. Just need to find a SD card. Hope for the best and accept any consequences. Changed WiFi password in the app XDV PRO. No drivers for Windows or Mac , just the USB Camera default if selected on the camera after plugged. ... show more
