I bought this phone for my father. He needed something basic due to the multiple strokes that he had. Definitely easier than a flip phone and very easy for him to locate his contact list to make a call vs dialing phone numbers. Recommend to activate phone on Consumer Cellular.

This Artfone mobile phone description on Amazon states that it works with Tello. It states it has Volte and has the bands that should work on Tello. The baffling thing is that I purchased the phone on Amazon, got a SIM card from Tello, activated and called the phone with my other cell phone, and this Artfone worked fine. Then, I sent the phone to a relative who it was actually purchased for, and it now won’t work. When I called Tello’s customer service, they told me the phone doesn’t have the correct bands even though the description on Amazon states it does. Additionally, the IMEI code and service area where the phone was (where I live) and where my relative lives all indicate that the phone should work. This was all checked on Tello’s website and all came up that the phone should work. Companies don’t actually want you to call them. They want you to do everything online. Then, when you check everything online, they later tell you the phone is not compatible. Even though you checked everything Tello stated you needed on their website for the phone to be compatible before purchasing it, it won’t work. This is even after you entered the IMEI number from the phone, purchased and put in a Tello SIM card as well as activated and tested the phone and it worked temporarily, it now doesn’t. My question is why? Why did it work at first and now it won’t and I’m told it doesn't have the right bands? As far as I’m concerned Amazon or Tello should refund me the cost of the phone because both websites were misleading. Furthermore, Tello should refund me for their SIM card and the cost of a couple of months of their service. I never write reviews, but I think others should know what happened to me even after I did my due diligence. I also emailed Tello a couple of different times to confirm what their customer service representative told me on the phone, and all answers were that the phone doesn’t have the correct bands. This is even though I provided them Amazon’s listing that stated the phone did have the necessary bands. They had nothing to say other than the phone doesn’t have the correct bands. There was no apology for their site still telling me the IMEI will work and I’ll get service in the area the phone is. I don’t know how Tello keeps customers this way, but I now see a few recent Amazon reviews stating that others had difficulties with Tello and this phone. These reviews were not there when I bought the phone and I actually wonder if the phone did work with Tello a couple of months ago and now no longer works. Zero stars.

I really wanted a simple cell phone for my 90 year old Mother, but as other reviews have stated this phone didn't work with Tello/ T-Mobile. After inserting the SIM card I was able to make only one call, but then received a notification saying only emergency calling was available. Restarting, resetting and reinserting the SIM card did not correct the issue. I have several other phones which use Tello with no similar issues. When I contacted Tello customer service they said this particular phone is not compatible with Tello.

I bought this phone for my elderly father to use with Tello service (which is supposed to be compatible given the product description). When I was unable to activate the phone, Tello customer service informed me that this phone is not compatible with their service.

Bought it for my parent. Worked for 1 day only for T mobile prepaid plan!!! Then, it can only place emergency calls! This is just not like what it described on Amazon. Very disappointing and time wasting.

Bought a Tello SIM card for this phone - it worked for a few minutes then went to Emergency only mode. Tello customer support said this phone is NOT supported on their network - it lacks the needed bands to support their network.
