Worked well for stretching a 50 inch woven farm fence. I attached a small tow chain to the openings in this product , then hooked a come along to the chain, and attached the come along to a tow chain wrapped around my tractor front end loader. This allowed me to raise or lower the loader to the right height. Very easy and fast to attach and disconnect from the fence. This was my first time stretching a fence.

Works great however, the field fence wire that i streached was 49 in tall. The wedges are not long enough to cover the top and bottom wire and will slip. So, if the wire is any taller than 48 in, go with the 5 ft version.
