Was a little short of what I needed, local hardware and farm stores didn’t have what I wanted. Put around chestnut trees to keep small game and deers out for 4 years.. ask me again in 4 years and I can give a more honest review. Material is very strong, but can still be cut to size with a razor knife, shears or even a heavy duty set of scissors. We put up against a black fence to keep puppy from getting out. Black color and mesh allows it to blend right in, It is barley noticeable.

This hardware cloth is much easier to work with because it has like a vinyl coating on it. Needless to say I had way LESS blood than I usually do because normally I the cloth catches my gloves and pokes my hands and fingers. Much more user friendly and it looks great on my black dog kennel, which I've turned into a "garden cage"! Very happy. Of course I wish it were a little cheaper, but even the OTHER stuff is high priced and much more dangerous for me and my dogs. ... show more

I had purchased this hardware cloth with the intention to convert a side of one of my coops into a large window to help the birds be more comfortable with the summer heat. Those plans for scrapped due to a fire breaking out in the forest near me, and my helpers had to evacuate. A few weeks later, I had a bear get into my Bantam coop. It was devastating. After the first attack, I used this to go over weak spots that I couldn't screw boards into. The next night, the bear got in again to the only area I didn't reinforce. At 11pm in the dark, my friend and I put boards over the hole, but I wasn't satisfied. I used a portion of this hardware cloth and every screw and washer I could find to secure it. The next morning I went out and you could see where the bear had attempted to rip the hardware cloth. One little hole was created and it barely stretched. Size of the holes is much smaller than the pictures indicate so i recommend double checking the size. I bought it for a quail cage and the 💩 will never fall thru this. (1/4 inch) However I then had husband order 1/2 inch and it is working perfectly fine.
