Purchased for use as a retail fixture. Unboxed it in the parking lot and assembled inside the store. I think it would be difficult to move in a truck bed (kind of awkward) but easy to move around a house/store/business. It’s big. Easy care. No scratches until I scratched it myself (metal). Scratch hidden with brown Bic marker.

Item was straightforward to assemble. Would recommend not fully tightening so that there is sufficient wiggle room to line up the bolts. I purchased the brown unit. The shelves look like aged barnwood and have a gray tone in the boards. The wood is patterened and shows an almost white wood streaks, a dark brown-black streaks, reddish brown streaks and a taupey brown. The taupey brown is the color that is used on the boards ends throughout. I would have preferred more brown in the case but it works for me as I had filled the shelves. The frames are solid and the leveling screws were easy to install.

The only thing I disliked about this was I couldn’t clearly read the directions it’s was mainly pictures so I had to have my husband assemble it. Which was okay for me :)

I read a number of reviews on this where some described poor packaging or difficult to assemble. I experienced neither and am very happy with my purchase of the 5-tier bookshelf. The package arrived with zero damage and it was well packed in the box. No scratches or blemishes in any way. Assembly was easy with the provided tools. It does take about 45 minutes to assemble but the parts were all there (with a few extras) and the instructions are straightforward. I will say that alignment is tight, which helps add to the stability of the structure. I intentionally left screws a little loose until I had added each full shelf with all screws started. Then I tightened everything before moving on to the next shelf. With one particular shelf, I found I had to loosen the cross braces slightly to get the screws started. After the shelf was tightened, I retightened the cross braces. Zero issues and very solid structure. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and feel it's a good value for the money. If I need a smaller unit, I'm definitely picking up the 4 or 3 shelf model.
