The kart is a little too heavy for this motor, so it's not real fast, but it would probably work really well on a lighter chassis like a mini bike or mini quad. The documentation was sufficient to get it going, but definitely could have been better. There are several ancillary connections that are labeled, but no explanation of whether they're inputs or outputs, or what kind of voltage or signal they're expecting.

I swapped the motor sprocket to a 9 tooth, and used a 72 tooth on my axle, with that and 20" wheels, my tricycle does 35mph with this motor, though my calculations said 32mph. All the complaints about response time is the fault of the hard boot not being connected, just connect the two connecters together and it goes instantly, though that can be a problem due to the torque, when I go full throttle with the single right hand drive wheel, the front wants to go up and left.

Ordered this kit a week ago, installed it on an mx650 the day it was received. Installation was easy; install the components,match the necessary wires, and go. Was having a blast for 30 seconds then lost power. Reached out to supplier for help 6 days ago and have yet to hear back. Ended up being a faulty motor, and I still have not heard back from the supplier. Quite aggravating, and do not recommend going through it yourself. Save your money and go to electro and co, as customer support is non existent for this product.

Decent kit, all seems to work fine. The controller has a “smooth start” feature, that basically gives the throttle massive delay. Connecting the “hard boot” connector together removes this. This wasn’t obvious.

I was super excited to slap this kit on my Razor quad 500 that I’m running with a SURRON battery (60v). After a successful install I managed a top speed of 30 flat ground (I played with sprocket sizing) and my 48v VEVOR kit just makes my 60v kit look like a complete joke. Last thing I must say is HORRIBLE throttle reaponse in forward & reverse! Takes anywhere from 5-20 seconds sometimes just to get moving after twisting the hell out of the throttle 👎 2 stars because technically the kit works
