The Greenworks dethatcher has a habit of overheating easily when working a tough lawn. Mine tends to run for about 18-20 minutes before shutting off to cool down. luckily it takes me about 17 minutes to do 4 passes on my lawn, so I always stop before it shuts down and pop the battery out, then put it in the shade and take a break, followed by raking and then I start going again. With this spare battery I can keep that cycle up and get halfway through my yard before draining the OEM and this aftermarket battery. Allowing one to charge while I use the other and I can get the entire backyard done in a day. Although my back does not always allow me to finish the raking! Before I had this battery it took me 3 days to do my backyard, now I can push through and complete the entire yard in a day. Because of this battery pack, I am a lot happier and I am very happy to have it. Highly recommended.

This OHYES BAT brand 40 Volt 29472 40V 6.0Ah Lithium Battery for GreenWorks G-MAX tools is a decent after-market battery. I have used both original OEM Greenworks batteries and after-market batteries like this one in my Greenworks 40V G-MAX tools (most often in my Greenworks chainsaws.) The charge-level button proved to be a bit wonky. At first i could not get it to work but discovered it worked fine if pressed “just right.” (A very minor issue.) I wanted to give the battery the acid test. So i installed it in my trusty old Greenworks 12-Inch chainsaw (model#20292.) And then attacked a 16inch diameter Ash tree. (Ash can be a real bear to cut through - it’s so dense.) And together - that battery and chainsaw made me proud. (refer to photo.) It made it through three such cuts and consumed half the battery charge. And considering the amount of work that was, i feel that performance should be labeled “good enough.” i have no way to measure the actual Amp-hours in this battery pack. However, in my testing i found it to be a respectable after-market battery for my Greenworks 40V G-MAX tools.

I got this 6000mAh lithium-ion replacement battery to use with the Greenworks 40-volt self-propelled lawn mower as well as my Greenworks 40-volt leaf blower. This battery is compact and lightweight, making it easy to handle and store, and it fits snugly into my Greenworks lawn mower without any issues. This is a great extra battery for GreenWorks 40V. Great battery, good duration and holds its charge well when not in use. I actually have 3 of these for several tools but also to have extended use for a leaf mulcher and a very large area with many trees. Great to be able to switch them around for different tools. I've got many greenworks products ranging from a work light to lawnmowers good stuff. Very pleased with this purchase.
