Works great but there’s 1 issue - if you look straight down the shaft and inside the housing behind the LED there’s a electrical wire presumably for the LED light and the wire isn’t secured to the housing so it rubs against the shaft during operation and with time I’m sure the shaft’s vibration will eat through the wires insulation which probably won’t be a big deal but could be so I planned to fix it myself Obviously taking it apart to fix it presumably voids the warranty so I wouldn’t recommend it but I was going to just take it apart and it secure the wire since I do a decent amount of electronics repair so I know what I’m doing and was fine with voiding the warranty but I couldn’t justify even attempting to take it apart because there aren’t any screws on the exterior and it seems like a snap fit clamshell design and if you try to take those apart it’s a pretty good chance you’ll break something so I left mine alone but tried to sort of push the wire out of the way and bend it slightly with a paper clip and it sort of worked but you gotta do it regularly to keep it away from the shaft so hopefully that’s either not an issue with most units or hopefully they fix it in the future. It’s really hard to get a good picture of it but next time I use it I’ll snap a picture and update the review if I remember

I was honestly surprised by how quiet this thing is when I turned it on—at first I actually thought it wasn’t working! But as soon as I tried cutting some ABS plastic for my model, it went through smoothly and cleanly. It works really well for detail work like 3D printed parts and plastic models.I also like the 5-minute auto shutoff feature that keeps it from overheating. I never really hit the limit since I tend to pause between cuts anyway, but it’s nice to have that peace of mind.Definitely a handy tool for model building!

I mainly got this cutter for my craft projects, and it’s been a game-changer! Before, I was using box cutters or prying things open—which always felt messy and risky. But this made it so much quicker and easier to cut through seams cleanly without damaging the material. One thing to note: it’s not battery-powered, so you’ll need to plug it in when using. I sometimes use a power bank that supports 40W with 15V output, and it works perfectly that way too.

This thing is fantastic for my plastic models! I'll be honest, when I first turned it on and it was completely silent, I thought it was broken. But nope—it was working perfectly! It slices through ABS plastic like a dream and gives me super clean cuts. Highly recommend for any model builder.
