I have a thing for steel. I collect swords and knives. This blade is a unique shape. That is what first attracted me to it. Now that I have it in my hand, I can appreciate it's grip, sharpness and weight. It is a good knife. It is easy to open, but it's size makes it hard to reach the release to get it to fold. Sharp knife with a satisfying, smooth opening action. This knife is NOT spring assisted. Rating three stars because it is quite low quality. Some of the screws on the handle fell out on their own with light usage (opening cardboard shipping boxes). At this price point it’s obviously not real Damascus but has a neat look. Nice little low priced slender knife for daily use. The case is pretty decent. I used some CLP oil to make the movement smoother and to protect the metal. It was not sharp out of the box. So it will need some touch up. The motion while opening is smooth. I did tighten up all the fasteners. I like the slender profile on it. It comes in handy for opening boxes and cutting smaller items.
