My only gripe is they are just the tiniest bit too big and that makes getting them out of the bench something I had to use a hammer to do. Put them in and you are VERY unlikely to lose them because they fell out.

I refurbished the top on my old Workmate bench and wanted to upgrade the old bench dogs. These new ones are a little bit longer and wider than the originals. The space along the bench edge will be narrower with these. No big deal but it is noticeable. Supposed to fit into a 3/4 inch hole but the short tabs on these dogs are real stiff and don't give much at all. I found a 20 mm spade bit makes a perfect hole for these, snug but able to turn as needed. I'm still keeping my old 20 plus year old dogs as spares even though they're weathered and scratched but still useful. Hopefully theses new dogs will last as long as the originals. ... show more
