  • Children can create many variations through play.
After receiving this dollhouse set, I spent some time assembling it. Once finished, it truly felt more substantial than just the packaging. The four-layer design allows each layer to have its own little space, and the furniture isn't fixed; it can be rearranged according to the child's current playtime. My child initially took the time to carefully arrange the dolls' rooms, but later, while playing, she moved the sofa, bed, and other small pieces of furniture around. One day it's a bedroom, the next it might be a completely different room from her own imagination. The small parts are also easy to handle, and her little hands don't struggle too much, so she doesn't constantly need adult assistance. What's particularly interesting is that this toy isn't limited to one way of playing. The dolls can sit in the living room, eat, watch TV, or go to other rooms to do different things. My child will string these little scenes together into a story. The assembly process itself is part of the fun; after completing one room, she'll start figuring out what to put in the next spot. I especially love that the furniture can be moved around, because it's not just fixed in one place after assembly. Taking it out again a few days later and rearranging it creates a different experience each time. I think this dollhouse is quite well made, with many rooms and a wide variety of furniture, and it's not just a simple decoration. The process of my child tidying up the room, moving furniture, and organizing the dolls' activities often takes longer than I initially expected. There's also a small advantage for parents: they can participate together, and they don't have to constantly come up with new games; the children will naturally expand the story themselves. I think it would be a perfect birthday or holiday gift. ... show more

  • There are various ways to play.
I bought this set for my child as a holiday activity at home. Originally, I just wanted something to keep her quiet for a while, but it turned out to be even more fun than I expected. It happened to be raining that day, so we couldn't go out. I helped her assemble it, and she spent the whole time figuring out where to put each little part. After finishing, she didn't just play with it once and put it away; instead, she sat there for a long time, even thinking about how to modify it next time. The small parts were easy to handle, and she didn't constantly ask for my help when tidying up and putting them away. Tidying up after playing became part of the game. After using it a few times, I think the most appealing thing about this toy is that it doesn't get boring quickly. My child can arrange it according to her own ideas one day, and then rearrange it completely a few days later, always finding a new way to play. For me, this is more worthwhile than toys that can only be played in a fixed way, because my child comes up with her own stories and spends time tidying up and arranging. Now, whenever the weather is bad and we can't go out, she often takes out the set to play. I think it would be a suitable birthday or holiday gift; my child definitely wants to play with it for a long time after receiving it. ... show more

  • A fun toy when friends come over
This dollhouse has become one of the toys my daughter brings out when a friend comes over. The size works well for two kids because there are several floors and rooms, they don’t have to crowd around one tiny play area. Usually one of them takes the upstairs rooms while the other sets up the kitchen and living room, then they start making up a story together. I’ve noticed they spend almost as much time changing the house as they do playing with the dolls. They move the sofa, bed, vanity, and other little pieces around depending on what they want each room to be that day. One afternoon the top floor was a bedroom, the next time it somehow became a music room. That flexibility keeps it from feeling like there’s only one way to play. Assembly took some adult help at the beginning, but once the house was together, the furniture was easy for small hands to move. The included dolls and accessories give them plenty to start with. I especially like hearing the conversations they invent while they play. It’s simple pretend play, but they can stay busy creating their own little household for quite a while. ... show more

  • A Big Hit With My Little Girl
This was supposed to be one of several birthday gifts, but it quickly became the one my daughter wanted to play with first. As soon as we finished putting it together, she grabbed the dolls and started setting up every room exactly the way she wanted. She loves moving all the little furniture around. The bed might be upstairs one day and somewhere completely different the next. The couch, vanity, piano, and other pieces give her plenty to work with, and she comes up with her own little family stories while she plays. Sometimes the dolls are cooking dinner, sometimes they’re getting ready to go somewhere, and sometimes everyone apparently needs to sit down for a piano concert. There’s enough room that the house doesn’t feel cramped when she has everything inside. She can reach the different levels easily, and the furniture pieces are a nice size for her hands. She doesn’t need me constantly helping her move things or put them back where they belong. Her friend played with it during a visit too, and the two dolls worked out perfectly. Each girl had her own character, and they spent a long time making up stories together instead of jumping from toy to toy every few minutes. Putting the house together wasn’t difficult, just something that took a little patience at the beginning. Once it was finished, there was plenty included to start playing without needing to add a bunch of other toys. She still likes rearranging the rooms almost every time she sits down with it. Keeps her entertained and gets her imagination going. Great buy and worth each penny! ... show more

  • The Tiny Furniture Is the Best Part
What makes this playhouse interesting is all the movable furniture. There are enough different pieces to actually decorate each room instead of having an empty plastic house. The sofa, bed, piano, vanity, and other accessories can be moved between rooms, so the layout can change depending on the story being played out. Putting the four levels together required a little patience. I found it easier to organize the pieces first instead of opening everything at once. After the main sections were connected, adding the furniture was much quicker and more enjoyable. The house has several different areas for the two dolls, including bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces. The dolls are a good size for the rooms and furniture, and having two included means there’s enough to start pretend play right away. There are quite a few small accessories, so this is definitely something I’d keep organized after playing. The finished house looks cute and colorful, and being able to rearrange the rooms gives it more variety than a fixed-layout dollhouse. ... show more

  • this is one of my girls favorite toys now
My girl really loves this dollhouse, and lately it is one of the first things she goes to when she wants to play inside. She was excited about the four levels because to her that means every doll can constantly be going somewhere different. She carries the dolls from room to room, puts them to bed, sits them on the furniture, pretends they are eating, and then completely changes the story five minutes later. The little piano has gotten a surprising amount of attention too. Apparently her dolls have a very busy musical schedule. I like that there are enough furniture pieces to make the rooms feel interesting while still leaving her room to decide how everything should be arranged. We spent some time getting the house set up initially, and afterward she took responsibility for decorating it the way she wanted. I have already seen the same rooms transformed several times because she enjoys moving things almost as much as she enjoys playing with the dolls. We keep the smaller accessories together when playtime is over so pieces do not slowly disappear around the house. ... show more

  • Fun to build and rearrange
The fun with this dollhouse started before my daughter even finished setting it up. She kept changing her mind about where the bed, sofa, and piano should go, so assembly quickly turned into part of the play. Once the four levels were together, she gave each room a different purpose and started moving the two dolls from one floor to another while making up little stories. The furniture is small enough for her to handle on her own, and nothing is permanently fixed in place, which is probably why she keeps rearranging it. There are quite a few little pieces, so we use a small container to keep them together when she is done. The house has enough room to keep her busy without taking over the whole room, and lately she has been rebuilding at least one area almost every time she pulls it out. ... show more

  • fun for little stories
My daughter will sometimes stop right in the middle of our story, look at the doll house, and announce that the family needs a new room. That is my cue to sit back on the rug and let her take over. She moves the sofa, carries the little bed upstairs, shifts the piano, and finds a new spot for the vanity. I love seeing how serious she gets about every choice. Our weekend play often grows from those little changes. She gives me one doll and keeps the other, then tells me where we are going next. We might start in the bedroom, head to the kitchen for a pretend breakfast, and end up in the living room with both dolls relaxing on the sofa. The four levels and different room spaces give her plenty of room to keep each story moving. For me, the best part is sitting beside her and joining whatever story she creates. There is plenty of talking, laughing, and silly pretend conversation. It turns quiet time at home into genuine time together. ... show more
