These are sooo very soft!! I washed them as soon a s I opened the package. I did not notice any stains or marks but I did not inspect that close. As I was putting the bottom sheet on, I noticed a stain/ mark spot on the sheet. I have not washed again to see if it comes out but it does not effect the use of the sheets unless it was on a guest bed, then it may look kinda gross but I know the sheets are clean.
