So I bought these more to twist wires that were slightly thicker than .032“ for craft purposes. It did it well so I imagine it will do well for the primary purpose ie, twist electrical wires in their corresponding wire nut. The wire gauge I used was about .07“ and I used a cordless drill set at #3. I did not need an ”impact“ drill because I needed to go ”slow but sure“...not like a ”bull in a china shop.“

Such a cool looking item that I had to order it, though I haven't used it yet. It can be used to twist bare wires before applying a wire nut or on the wire nut itself. The two sizes should be enough for any but the very largest wire nuts, I think. I'll try to get back here after I use it.

2 Pcs Upgraded Wire Twister Tool for Drill, Compact Wire Nut Twister was designed to be used with wire nuts and functions well for that. I was hoping, since I was working with a larger #6 gauge wire, that I might be able to use them to tighten the twist on that heavy gauge wire without the nut. It did not. I believe if the tool had a smaller inside diameter it would have been great, so the one star was for my expectations not working, rather than the tool itself. I was an electrician for several years and always twisted stranded wire with pliers before using and just hoped this would do the job my now very experienced hands don't do so well. Somewhat surprised no one has come up with a textured cone shaped tool similar to this just for twisting bare stranded wire.

Piece of garbage

This is a HORRIBLE product. I never leave reviews but this completely messed up my impact drill so I wanted to help others. Used it once and now it’s stuck in my drill. I CANNOT get it back out. All the damage you see in the photo is from me trying to get it removed from my impact. This is a horrible product. DO NOT BUY
