This is a very nice little five gallon. I will say I like the light included as well as the bottom of the tank has a soft foam to reduce scratching if put on a wooden surface. Overall I like it. Would but again

They first time I bought this product and set up the whole tank exactly how I wanted it and when I went to add the filter pump it did not work at all. There was no way to contact support to get just a new filter pump replacement so I went ahead and put in a return request to swap out the pump filter. Thank goodness I’m not needing the tank however because apon opening the box of the second tank I received it is completely shattered. The pump issue is definitely on the company’s while the broken tank may simply be due to the Amazon company and or driver. Overall it’s been a disappointing experience.

Seems to be a well designed and thought out fish tank for beginners. The only thing missing is the heater and a lid. The book is very informative to any beginner to the hobby, although I can not recommend a lot of the fish that they suggest. This is big enough for a betta or some neo cardina shrimp that’s about it. Maybe a few rasboras or guppies. The tank its self is a decent quality for what I can see. I have read reviews about it leaking, so I am very mind ful of that and placed into a boot tray just in case. The pump is a little weak which is fine for shrimp or betta. I have not had an issue with the light yet as I have read in previous reviews. I do not like the fact that this tank came with everything except for the heater and the lid. I think a lid would help the success of this fish tank. Overall, this is a solid fish tank for any beginner

We have Beta fish, shrimp and live plants in ours. The filtration and water flow is perfect. Our eco system is thriving Customer Service with this company is the absolute BEST!

I am a big Pondon fan. Every single aquarium I've got from them is well made and attractive. This aquarium is very well built. Nice clean lines with a premium feel to it. This rimless 5 gallon is the latest in their evolving line of aquariums. Earlier Pondons had some minor quibbles, but were easily modded to compensate for those minor shortcomings. But it seems they are quickly evolving and are now integrating these improvements into their latest offerings. For example, the pump motor on this setup has a variable output, which is MUCH needed in smaller tanks. Even my Fluval Flex tanks don't offer this, and I have to mod those tanks to deal with too much flow from their pump motors. This new aquarium also has a sizeable filter compartment for such a small tank. They do include some coarse sponges, and some bagged ceramic media, but they suggest adding a finer sponge to compliment what they give you. I took it a step further. I added their coarse sponges, which are around 20ppi if I had to guess, along with some 25 and 35 ppi sponges, their ceramic mixed bag, 3 plastic scrubs, and some bagged carbon as well. Frankly I am surprised just how much media can be added to this back sump styled filter compartment. I'm very pleased by that ! Even with all that media, I still had to slightly turn down the motor, and I still am getting a nice flow out the return spout. I decorated with some polished black pebbles to compliment the nice black finish of the tank. I also added some reflective plants, along with some rocks, natural wood and live floating frog bit plants. I added the frog bit for some cover, and color, while these floating plants also aiding with cleaning the water as well. The included full spectrum light has multiple settings, all handled by an inline controller that is easy to use and understand. I am very pleased with how this turned out. Pricing is on the higher end. But when you take a hard look at the quality build of the tank, the attractive styling, and excellent equipment that is included. This is an outstanding value. You get a truly premium product for your money. For those naysayers, I feel they are too much of fan boys of other makers. and aren't seriously looking at these Pondon tanks with a subjective and unbiased eye. I own several Fluval flex tanks, and I would say both makers have their strengths, but both overall are very evenly matched. Personally, I slightly prefer the Pondon aquariums overall.

The tank is beautiful and well designed. But I had to knock off a star due to there being no lid/top, it just doesn’t come with one. Within a week I had to add more than 2 liters of water due to evaporation, I’m still trying to get something to make my own lid. I also knocked off a star because I don’t think the filter pump is working properly. The filter pump says it should operate at 75gph with max flow rate, which is weird because one of the answers is that it runs at 50gph yet the sticker on my pump shows 300liters/h which is closer to 75gph, maybe it just has the wrong sticker. It’s also vibrating quite a bit. I can hear it humming from like 5 feet away.
