Personally, these are a must have for my little ones. They pull the belts together to help ensure the should straps stay over their shoulders. My 5-year-old said it made the belts more comfortable. I am guessing it’s where the belt stops her from bouncing in out of the seat. After putting them on I tried pulling on the belts in different directions to make them let go and they didn’t which give me confidence they will hold up in a crash.
