Our first time using it for 4th of July weekend. We were having trouble opening the top bars. You have to push down the red button and slide the pole but they were all so hard. We finally got 3 out but one of them was upside down. We were able to take it off and twist it to be positioned correct. Once that was correct it was easy to set up and very quick and easy to take down. Two queen mattress fit side by side and you only get a small cap to walk in. I would have liked it better if it had more space but walk in like our other tent. All in all we love it. We will just downside one mattress so we can have more space inside. ... show more

Finally got a chance to go camping again used our new Hinstant 6 person tent. This is a really nice tent. The set up was very easy and fast. The tent was good size for our needs. We have a queen self inflating mattress and a small self inflating camping pad for our daughter. There was about 2 feet between the 2 mattresses for a couple of our bags. At the foot of the mattresses there was only about 18" which was a bit tight for us. Wish the tent was just a bit deeper to accommodate our bags but that's not the tents fault. We had a cold front move through and the tent did well in some decent winds. The winds died down and later that evening it rained steady, not terribly hard, for about an hour. The reason I am giving this tent one star is after about 30 minutes of rain the tent began leaking in multiple areas. the seams were leaking all over and there were significant puddles in our tent we had to deal with. We camp frequently in a multitude of different situations and currently have 5 tents. This is the only tent that we have encountered this issue with despite being rained on many times in our other tents. I am very disappointed in the lack of water resistant of this tent because its actually a nice tent. I would send this back but I'm beyond my return window. We have used this tent on 5 camping trips to Florida. Each trip we camped 7-8 days. Our last trip really put it to the test. We had two days that had wind gust of 60 mph and it survived. That is very impressive considering our last tent was a dome tent and it folded flat with 40mph gust. Only issue with this tent is the rain flap needs to be about three inches longer all the way around because when it rains with mild wind it raises up in the back and you get wet. Another tie down in the middle would help as well. This trip we put a tarp under the rain flap that hung down about 4 - 5 inches, everything stayed dry. Also a Velcro strip where the extension cord goes into the tent would be nice as well. The vents near the floor are great for venting the portable air conditioner. The is extremely easy to put and take down. I give it 5 stars because most people do not put a tent the harsh conditions that we have. ... show more

This instant tent was awesome. Set up was extremely easy in less than 2 minutes. We took it to Ginnie Springs and the rain got us and the tent remained dry inside. It has several windows that allow for air to circulate keeping it cool but with the mesh the insects do not go in. Overall had a great experience thanks to this tent ... show more

This tent is definitely better than the tent I was using before. It’s fast and easy to set up and break down. One person can do it with no problem. It’s a 4-person tent but realistically it will fit two people with gear comfortably. It held up well in very windy conditions this weekend. Thankfully it didn’t rain. Crossing my fingers that this tent doesn’t leak. I’m rating this 4 stars because of the zippers and material. The zippers are okay, I guess. I just wish the windows had two zipper pulls. I like choosing where I want them to be cracked open a bit. The door does have two zipper pulls but one only goes horizontally along the bottom and the other starts at the bottom and curves up. Again, I would have preferred two free sliding pulls and be able to choose where I open the door. The tent material itself is kinda loud. Granted, it was very windy this weekend but the material sounded very “crinkly” like tarp. It’s not like hammock or parachute material. I had to stake the tent down again in the middle of the night and make everything really taught, including the rain fly. This helped some but it made zipping the door difficult with the extra tension. I’m sure the material wouldn’t have bothered me if it were normal weather conditions. I was wanting a bigger and easier tent. I love the tent I have Coleman darkroom. Im 68 yrs old and camp alot and only 5'2" so I literally had to make myself look for another tent. This 1 caught my eye. My price rank, size, looks and easy. I put it up in my yard to make sure it was as easy as it claimed to be. Yes it is love it so so easy. I’m currently typing this inside my tent, which has about half a dozen puddles in it after spending a night in the rain. It looks like an issue with the loops that the window flaps roll up into. They collect water and then drip all over the floor. Yay. Other than that, it’s a good tent! Quick, easy set up, lots of head room. Only thing good is the 60 second set-up! But the tent ripped at the top when packing it up. Also it’s 100% NOT WATERPROOF. The tent leaked all along the seams of the tent. All the windows leaked.
