This tent is aptly named; it can indeed be set up in an instant. Short of including a little dude in the box to set the tent up for you, I really don't see how it could be much easier or quicker. You basically just unfold the four poles, extend the rods, stake it down and put on the rain fly. You should be able to get the tent up in less than five minutes (staking and the rain fly will take another 5-10 mins), even if you've never done it before. Take down is equally fast and easy. It is so much easier than any other tent I have ever used. There are instructions sewn into the bag, but you probably won't need them except for where to hood the rain fly (the D rings). The tent construction is about what I would expect for a decent tent. It's not top of the line, but it's good enough that with a little care, it should last many seasons. There are reinforcements at the critical points where the tent hooks to the poles. The poles are aluminum and about twice as thick as normal tent poles. The ground material comes up about nine inches on the sides, so leakage at those seams is unlikely due to ground water. There is a seam on the floor material which I don't love and even though it appears to be well-taped, I'd rather the floor be one continuous piece. The zippers operate smoothly, and all of the seams appear to be well-stitched. The hinges on the poles are made of plastic which could be a fail point, but they are pretty thick, so they're probably fine. The tent is tall enough that I can stand up in the center (I am six feet tall) and it's roomy enough for two adults to use comfortably. You could fit three, but you better be good friends. There are two bags on the walls on either side of the tent for putting in phones, glasses, etc. while sleeping. I love the way they made the loft, not only can you put stuff in the loft, but you can still hang a light from there too. There are a few things that I think could be better: There is no Velcro on the power pass through, it's not likely to leak but critters could crawl in there. I'll probably tape mine shut as I don't use the pass through. The rain fly needs to be tied to the tent poles; Velcro would be simpler here. The bag is a little on the cheap side but it's perfectly functional and roomy. I just think it's probably going to be the first thing to fail. This will be my go-to tent this season and I will update this review if I have any other thoughts about it. The speed that you can set up and tear down this tent is really amazing; this is definitely a tent that I would recommend to beginners and experienced tenters alike! ... show more

This is a great fair weather tent. It went up easily, came down easily, and 4 person was a great size for just me. One more could be comfortable but it definitely follows typical tent sizing. Unfortunatly water leaked up through the bottom of it during a surprise rainstorm. None came in through the top, so an under tarp may help, but it was a surprise to wake up to everything being wet. ... show more

I was drawn by the fast setup of this tent .....and it is fast, but that seems to be the only really good thing about it. The tent itself is so so, but zippers are absolutely crap.....flat out horrendous quality and without a doubt will fail after 2 or 3 uses ! Floor material is made of 2 stitch seamed pieces ( even the cheapest kids tent at Walmart has one piece floor) ! Rainfly is quite small and only just covers the roof area. All in all, this tent is very disappointing and i can confidently say that it will probably be in the trash can after a couple of uses. ... show more

A well-made, large 6-Person tent that's simple to set up and very roomy and comfortable. You can close it up for privacy or use the windows for ventilation and view. The skylight flaps are a really nice touch that I've never had the pleasure of using until this. You can always zip it up for adverse weather as well. It seems to be waterproof, even at the zippers. There's also a built-in mat to leave shoes at the door and there is storage enough for some basics. This is one of the easiest tents I've ever set up and only took about a minute or two and it was ready to go. The quality and the speed that you can set it up really add to the value proposition.
