It’s pretty easy to set up and take down, even though not technically “instant setup” that others advertise. The height was definitely an advantage and it was roomy enough for 4 adults very comfortably with lots of space around, probably would be fine for 6 too even if slightly tight. Another friend of ours had bought a brand name camp tent and so we got a firsthand look at setting up two different similar sized tents, and theirs was much more difficult to set up and take down. In fact, they broke one of the poles when they were taking down the tent. The only minor possible issue in the future might be that because the rain fly does not cover the tent fully, there might be some leakage if there is heavy rain. We did not experience rain and don’t intend to be camping in heavy rain in the future so it might not be an issue for us, but you might want to test it out properly. The bottom layer is reasonably thin so I’d recommend that you get a tarp that goes underneath, protect against stones and sticks that can damage the tent. ... show more

I've always wanted a hub style tent. I really like the shape of this, it allows the perfect extra space for back packs ect, plus our 2 twin air mattress. And it is so easy to set up! It is pretty heavy and long when it's in it's carrying case, but it fits in my car so that's ok!. I also have not had the chance to test it in the rain. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bottom material is pretty thin. We moved it around after is was set up to get the tent on a flat spot, and that bit of movement rubbed small holes in the bottom. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. A hub tent is a hub tent right? Not if it has 2 massive D doors and gives you 2 extra feet more than the typical hub. This tent is so spacious and the perfect size. I think everyone that walked past my camp site stared & gave a look back as they strolled on down the road. Even the little kids were commenting. The quality of the tent material is premium. BUT…. although the tarp floor is of nice quality (not that crunchy sound) where the legs attached to the tarp, causes some significant wear and tear to the point after a few uses you will need to repair it because there are going to be major holes. I put the tent up about 2 times and in just doing so I already had to do some patching. This is the only downside I’ve seen of this tent. If they can get this worked out I can see this tent lasting a while. It would be nice if they added an additional e-port. I hate when an electrical cord is running in front of a tent. And let’s face it, not every site is going to have the electrical box on the same side as your e-port. I don’t know why manufacturers don’t make this a standard thing. If I had to purchase this tent again, I would in a heartbeat especially for the $200+ price point. And if I could give a suggestion for an updated version, make it in additional colors. Create a rainfly with a built in awning. This does exist and another brand has done it. And have zip down pvc windows and doors. More hanging toggles & maybe even a built in light system. Now that would make this the absolute perfect Hub Tent. Of course it would then make it probably a $400 tent…. ... show more

The Tent desing is perfect for what I want but the tent poles with their sliding locking mechanism is VERY difficult to use. Also, once you think it has locked, it clicks and slips. The "Spider" design is a good concept but the locking system does not work well. It is hard to slide originally, 1/2 the time and rairly does it simple slide into place. Change the locking/sliding mechanism and you will have a great product. But not as it currently stands. ... show more

Takes a few extra minutes to set up the rain canopy portion but so worth it! My gf and I have used this tent through two rain storms. We put it up inside our living room to test (weather was windy outside) and we could barely make it fit in the open space - must be 8x10 inside.
