I used this to add some character to a clear rain cape, giving it a similar pattern to the burberry one. It applied easily, stuck fast while still allowing me to peel and re-stick if I got off course, and it curved well on the "pockets", so I didn't have to resort to having sharp square ones, or needing to cut out rounded edges. Haven't had a major rain test yet, but it has held up well to some minor tests like water splashing, and being folded/bundled-up/tossed in a bag for travel, and the tape is still holding fast. Bonus for me is that unlike duct tape, it is black on both sides, meaning I only needed to only tape one side for my (transparent!) item, wasting less tape. Arrived super fast, inexpensive, easy to use - this makes for a great weekend project (and the leftover is perfect for my whiteboard at work!) ... show more

This some downgraded Vinyl material. Ive used 2080 and 1080 before, this is neither, this film has extreme orange peel and half the thickness. Buy directly from 3M

I love the way my trim came out! As long as you have the right tools for the job and a lot patients its gonna come out great! Online videos show you more or less how this is done, but every vehicle is gonna be different. You'll need a heat gun, razor blades, and multiple tucking tools. There are plenty of kits on Amazon for your every Vinyl wrap needs! I recommend this product! BUT BEWARE, this shade of black was actually more of a dark gray color rather than a metallic jet black. I really didn't mind this but to some people it may. Although my emblems and badges are the same wrap as this one just a bigger size. ... show more

The product was as expected. Shipped sealed in plastic no damage to the roll. I used this to cover a car's chrome(chrome delete) I'd say for a 2 door car this will be enough, 4 it really depends on the car and if you have any other trim besides windows. If you have never worked with this stuff before I'd get 2 rolls as you will likely make a mistake as you learn and will have to rip it off and cut a new piece. Also if you a solid piece of chrome that makes a sharp turn or U shape it might be easier to buy a small sheet vs the tape. The tape will bend ok with light heat but there are limits to how tight it can turn. ... show more

While rather expensive, this tape has stick-to-it features that no other does. And I've tried many others! I used this as a stop-gap repair for my car's trim, damaged in last year's winter snow removal. I will have a proper repair later this year, but for now the tape is nearly indistinguishable from the car's normal trim and it stays on through washing, snow removal and the normal wear and tear trim on my car's trim. ... show more
