I ordered this to use as part of a DIY training tool but I did test its playability first and that is what this review will focus on. The specs on the product page are not 100% correct. The paddle is actually 8" wide instead of 7.6". So this is a good thing because the paddle is wider and has a slightly larger sweet spot than a 7.6" paddle would have. The title says 3K carbon fiber, but that only applies to the 3K carbon fiber version. The paddle core is 16mm and I think this is much of why this paddle plays much better than a lot of the other thinner budget paddles that I see new players bring out to the courts. If you are going to buy a budget paddle, it probably should have a 16mm core and not something 14mm or even thinner. This paddle weighed just over 8oz. But I found that adding a bit of lead tape to the lower half of each side made this paddle play much better with more consistency. It now weighs 8.6oz, but is much more stable and playable. With the added weight, this paddle has decent control, pop, and power. There is no real texture on the fiberglass paddle surface. You can still get spin with good technique, but there is definitely no texture helping you get more spin. This paddle would be fine for a new player that wanted a decent playing budget paddle. Note, the artwork on my paddle was originally listed as one of the options on this product page, but it has since been moved to another page. I ordered the DLJZGC Space Fiberglass Pickleball Paddle and could not be happier! First of all, this paddle is just COOL! The stellar graphic is what first attracted me to the paddle, as well as the incredible value. My husband and I have only been playing for a few months and picked up a basic set with wooden paddles to try the game out. Turns out, we love playing and wanted to upgrade our kit. We both took turns trying this paddle and were super impressed with the feel and function. The paddle feels nice in the hand, and the grip is supple. The paddle is very lightweight, and the surface has just a bit of texture. The print is incredible, and I'm glad it's on both sides. The level of control this paddle offers compared to our wood set was outstanding. We were finessing shots and nailing the ball exactly where we wanted it to go. It's got a large sweet spot and is ideal for dinking! While I can't speak to the professional quality of the paddle, as an amateur, I couldn't be happier with it. Keep in mind, you may find carbon fiber faces at this price point, but some players still may fancy the fiberglass option, and for what it is, with the ability to order one-only for under $10...this will likely be a favorable purchase.
