Wow! Such an awesome kite. I surprised my 12 year olds with these, the black and the yellow-green. They just take off with ease, no need to run with the kite. As soon as you lift it, the air runs through it and it’s off in the sky. They’ve only flown it once day but even my husband got in on the action flying. Very well made, great size and bright colors that pop in the sky. Even the tentacles bubble up with air. Assembly was pretty much a breeze.

SOOOO COOOL !! This octopus kite beats those dinky little kites you see in stores well worth the money, however I do recommend getting a better spool one with a hand crank, the spool it comes with is a lot smaller and hardly any line on it, getting this thing down from 1640 feet of string from the spool I purchased separately is a workout because of how big it is and all the wind it intakes, I could only imagine the spool it came with without the crank would be a lot harder by hand

I took this to a beach vacation, and had a great time. It is a fair amount of work to get it up in the air. But when I did, it was so big it had people actually stopping to stare at it (and one dog that was very alarmed). My favorite part is that two separate adults flew it, other than myself. They had never flown a kite before and it was kind of awesome seeing the joy on their faces.

great kite, super stable in 15mph winds, it’s HUGE in the sky. tied into ground stake flew for hours unattended while we walked the beach. easily seen from 1/2 mile away. worth the 40 bucks. take your time opening and closing, lotsa parasail strings to deal with. Included string and winder just ok, but i’ll upgrade to something a bit easier to haul in, has pretty good pull on the string.

This kite is the coolest thing. every time we fly it, we have people ask us where we got it. This is the second one we've ordered. The first one got away from us and is somewhere i the southern Caribbean by now LOL. Anyway, one thing is that there has to be a pretty good wind velocity to get it up. I would say about 10 mph (estimate only) in order to fly because of its size.

Attached a 3 foot leader to the rigging and hoisted it up attached to a 9ft lifting kite. It flew all day on the beach and absolutly was the coolest looking thing. I have the green one and it looked nice against a blue sky. Day two I accidently got some sand in the kite and it ended up in the bottom of a few tail sections. This sand acted as a wieghts and madce it impossible to fly, tossing and turning and getting tangled up in the rigging. I had to crash it into the the ocean, and decided to clean it out another day and try again. I rate it 5 stars because it flew so good and looked so cool. Probably not a good beginer kite. It comes with a nice storage bag
