Wow! Such an awesome kite. I surprised my 12 year olds with these, the black and the yellow-green. They just take off with ease, no need to run with the kite. As soon as you lift it, the air runs through it and it’s off in the sky. They’ve only flown it once day but even my husband got in on the action flying. Very well made, great size and bright colors that pop in the sky. Even the tentacles bubble up with air. Assembly was pretty much a breeze.

SOOOO COOOL !! This octopus kite beats those dinky little kites you see in stores well worth the money, however I do recommend getting a better spool one with a hand crank, the spool it comes with is a lot smaller and hardly any line on it, getting this thing down from 1640 feet of string from the spool I purchased separately is a workout because of how big it is and all the wind it intakes, I could only imagine the spool it came with without the crank would be a lot harder by hand

This kite is the coolest thing. every time we fly it, we have people ask us where we got it. This is the second one we've ordered. The first one got away from us and is somewhere i the southern Caribbean by now LOL. Anyway, one thing is that there has to be a pretty good wind velocity to get it up. I would say about 10 mph (estimate only) in order to fly because of its size.

Flew this kite once on a large sand dune near the ocean with lots of space and low wind turbulence in 7-10 mph winds. The kite was very stable and lots of fun to fly. Like other reviews have stated, the kite does have a strong pull on it and I recommend getting a string wheel with a crank handle as I would not have easily been able to bring the kite in by hand and would definitely need gloves as it pulled that hard. Even using the crank wheel was difficult as I bought a cheaper one and was worried the handle would break off. I was very happy with the quality of the kite and the price was very good. Would definitely recommend.
