    • So far it works great.
When I first used it I thought the articulation didn't work that well, but then realized you can't have the camera wire coiled up. Unroll the camera wire and the articulation works very smooth.

IF YOU BREAK THE CAMERA, YOU ARE S.O.L. FOR THIS MODEL THEY DO NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT CABLE. CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME I'D HAVE TO BUY THE ENTIRE UNIT OVER AGAIN. BUMMER, BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY DOES WORK PRETTY GOOD :(

As a professional automotive technician, I own multiple borescopes that I use for engine inspections but this is by far my favorite. This scope is awesome as it articulates with a joystick to see all angles of an area inside an engine without the use of a camera mounted mirror. The cable is long enough to reach most areas but not so long that you're holding feet of cable in your hand like some other scopes designed for pipe inspection. The diameter of the cable is about 1/4" and fits in the spark plug hole of nearly any engine. The scope comes packaged inside of a very nice foam lined hard case. Although made primarily of plastic, the quality of all components are impressive. The scope is 3 pieces that need to be connected to work. The joystick portion has the 5 ft camera attached to it and the 5" monitor is connected to it by a cable with screw collar locking connections. The scope also includes a manual and a charging cord. The camera image is amazing!!!! It is very clean and crisp with unbelievable resolution on the 5" color monitor. Brightness of the LED lights is adjustable with a single button. The control of the bending of the camera is very controlled and smooth with the joystick and it feels nice in the hand. The camera Images can be captured/saved as well I LOVE this borescope/camera and think it functions perfectly. The quality is excellent but it is way overpriced in my opinion. At the time of this review it is $599.99 and has a $200 coupon making it $399.99. It's unfortunate it's not more affordable because I know 5 people that want one but won't spend that much.
