Was able to put power to this and have it working in about 5 min. Simple to set up, good instructions. A few downsides. It only has 2 bolt holes in the base to secure it. Other winches this size I have have at least 3. Makes me nervous relying on 2 bolts for 3500lbs, and on to of that they are in line with each other so any sort of torque side to side would not be great. Second thing I noticed right away is the plastic selector for free spool. It actually works well and is maybe easier than my other winches this size, but I worry about a big plastic cap on the end of this thing getting broken out in the woods. I haven’t set up the wireless controls so I can’t say how well they work. I probably wouldn’t bother with it unless I was doing something stupid and needed to be under cover. Simple answer to that is not to try to do stupid pulls with this small winch. Otherwise the cables and fittings seem fine. Motor sounds good. No other complaints to speak of. I might keep this as a back up winch, or finding a mounting plate for a receiver hitch. There’s a small chance I might mount this in my truck bead somehow but not sure I like it enough for that.

Works great so far. We are using it as a hoist in a warehouse setting and it works great. The winch comes in a rigid Styrofoam inside the box. This does a good job protecting the contents but as you can imagine with heavy metal pieces there ends up being a bunch of little Styrofoam bits all over the winch and you want to take the time to clean that off as you don't want then to gum it up.
