Nice and solid. A little more premium that average. They are a bit oily on arrival, and mine had a few scratches, but they are nice and solid. I only have one tiny complaint; they could be shipped with a little protection. Good quality and price though, I do recommend.

These 5lb rubber-coated hex dumbbells are an good value even at $29.99. I've been looking for affordable yet durable dumbbells for my home gym, and these fit the bill perfectly as a more durable upgrade over my fully coated neoprene/rubber 5lb weights. Pros: Good Quality: At this price point, you could find cheaper dumbbells but some of the ones I've seen seem to have skinnier handles or I can't speak to the quality. These ones seem to be comparable to gym quality from my experience. Durable Construction: The rubber coating feels thick and sturdy, and the hex shape prevents them from rolling away. Odor-Free: A major plus! Unlike some other rubber dumbbells or bumper plates I've purchased in the past, these didn't have that strong, unpleasant rubber smell when I first opened the box. Versatile: Perfect for a variety of exercises, including strength training, cardio, and functional fitness. Cons: None so far. I'm writing this review for some small 5-pound dumbbells I received. It appears that the listing has changed since my order to consist only of large sets with a rack. In any case, the dumbbells are nice and good quality. The vast majority of rubber hex dumbbells on the market are so similar they are probably made in the same manufacturing plant. These are no exception. They match all the rest of my rubber hex dumbbells. I did notice that the handles are a little thinner than heavier dumbbells, but that's probably to keep the weight as low as it needs to be for these lighter 5 pound weights. Hope this review helps.

These are your garden variety 5lb dumbbells, no great innovation or brilliant new breakthroughs, just a nice, solid pair of 5lb weights to make your shoulders hurt. They are well made and actually weigh 5 lbs, what more could you ask for? I like them very much.
