  • Instant hit for this game lover.
Color: Blue
The media could not be loaded. While there are a number of handheld consoles that come loaded with generic games these days, I set my expectations low given the price range for this item. However, I was filled with glee as I explored the games that come with this console. Even though I've never seen these particular titles before, they are well crafted and fun to play, just as if I walked into an arcade and started dropping quarters. The game system came in simple packaging and included a USB-C charge cable and a short manual. I was able to figure out basic operation without the manual, so nothing weird there. The manual also lists all the games that are built into the console. There is a door on the bottom for access to the rechargeable li-ion battery should it ever need to be replaced, but you shouldn't ever have to get in there for normal use. It appears to be very similar to a camera battery. There is a USB-C jack for easy charging using the included cable. Next to that is the manual volume control. There is no headphone jack. There are no card slots on this console, so you can't put any of your own content/games on here and you can't pull anything off. The screen is a nice brightness, not as bright as you could make your phone but plenty bright in any case. The clear part of the screen is plastic and could be prone to scratches. If that worries you simply leave the removable film over the screen. The film does not affect the brightness all that much. There is a Reset button at the bottom center of the screen, above the other buttons/controls. I accidentally pressed it out of curiosity but I don't think it is in the way of any regular game play, so just know that it's there. The device does not need any network or WiFi connection, it just works when you turn it on and makes it perfect for keeping a little one busy on a car or airplane trip. The console is VERY light weight. It's also compact and is perfect for purse or travel. All in all, given the price point, this is a perfect gift for any game lover whether they are adult or child. ... show more

  • Pretty cool little player - but maybe overloaded
Color: Blue
This portable game player is better than expected in some ways, but also maybe too much of a good thing is not that good. Pros: it comes with a re-chargable lithium battery installed as well as the USB charging cable. In addition, there is a little instruction booklet that gives a one or two line description about each game, and it has a very large number of games installed on it. - and therein may be the problem. Cons- it has so many games, but not nearly enough information on any of them to comprehend the basic fundamentals of how to play them. It definitely could occupy a lot of time just trying to figure each one out. The 2.5" x 4" tiny instruction booklet touches on each one, but not nearly enough info there. This little handheld could occupy a child for a long time with all it offers to choose from, but without some additional instructions, it might also border on causing frustration. At least I think that would be a possibility. ... show more

  • Nice and lightweight, great opening main-menu music
Color: White
Oh wow , I had a little dance party to myself with the opening menu music, thumbs up selector. This is like feather-light which is super convenient for travel for yourself or a child. I already have a unit with All of the old school popular games so this is fun to explore, and I prefer to play around on it to relax versus my phone, sometimes you like simple where you can zone out, I don't need a super involved game if I go to play.. and it's nice to store in my coffee table too, as it's easy for anybody and something for my nephews to randomly explore when they come for a visit. It comes with it's own battery which I'd have to look up to replace, but you just charge the unit, so I don't plan to worry about that any time soon. This is a fun stocking stuffer for nearly anybody! ... show more

  • Fun and affordable handheld gaming device for kids
Color: White
This 32-bit handheld gaming device is a great way for young kids to pass the time. It comes preloaded with 139 generic games - not the emulated name-brand titles you might find on higher-end devices, but still plenty of fun for casual play. The variety of games works for all ages, as long as you’re not too particular about specific genres or branded games. All games are kids friendly. We have not given our young son a smartphone yet so this is his go-to things to do when riding with us. He had a lots of fun with it. The 3 inch IPS screen is clear, and the rechargeable battery with USB charging is a huge plus - no need to constantly replace batteries. For the price, it’s a solid, budget-friendly option for entertainment on the go! ... show more

  • Flimsy and silly, but fun!
Color: White
First off, this feels like very cheap plastic and is very light. It's easy to use and understand, and there's a guide with all the games that tells you the objective and controls. I keep it at my desk for mindless breaks, and it's genuinely pretty fun. Kids will like it. The charge seems to hold for a while, no issues there, and it takes less than two hours to charge to full. ... show more

  • Super fun
Color: White
My boys love these players. we have had a set before but they died eventually. The price point is low so the expectations are similarly low but the unit is pretty cool and my boys will get hours of fun from this.

  • GB Clone!
Color: Purple
I got this product on a whim, and honestly didn't know what to expect since the listing doesn't actually mention what games come with it. Initially, I wondered if this was just going to be a ROM emulator, but it doesn't look like it is. A lot of the games were heavily inspired by legacy games, which is not a bad thing. Gameplay complexity tends to be low, which means all of the included games should be playable by someone over the age of 6. ... show more
