Important context: So... fun fact: I don't own a cat... BUT I have a small army of theraputic robot animals (take THAT shopping algorithm), most of which are the size of ragdoll cats, and all of which I wanted to keep together on a single cat tree to look at between taking turns with them as a complimentary treatment for my treatment resistant depression. THAT being said I can tell you that a full sized ragdoll cat is a little big to comfortably fully lay down on the perches on this thing. My white robot cat is the size and shape of an actual, averaged sized ragdoll and you can see in my pictures in the forward resting position she's in (this is weird for me too) she's a little too big. It's a NICE, soft, thin carpet-y material on the majority of the tree though. The colors are true to the listing photos and aside from a few spots that screw down into the poles below them that are visible it looks nice too. Not shabby! The little cat ball toy and the moon that dangles from the top perch are pre-installed, super secure and they have a nice jingle. There are 2 scratching posts that for the sake of the review I scratched with both my fingernails and a tweezers and the rope did not shred pieces off or anything which is great news for people with live cats that dig scratching. The spacing between platforms is great. A medium OR large cat could easily leap between them with ease and the lower box platform is placed at a good angle so the step up to the first platform is natural and not awkward. The walls of the box area are really strong and also thin which makes the box really roomy and the in/out holes are large. Large enough even for a ragdoll cat to squeeze through, though not much room to move around once they're inside. Regardless! All the parts screwed in really securely but the directions, which are bare bones black and white diagrams took me a while to figure out. Top parts of the tree were pretty straightforward with easy to find holes to line up for the screws included (alan wrench included too) but finding the spots for the bottom box posts was rough. You install the spring with the little jingly star yourself, and it's very simple to do. Perfect for small spaces. Sturdy. I put mine on top of a short ottoman for height and have had no issues. My cats started playing on this immediately! I didn’t like how the toy in the cat tree post wasn’t the same size as the scratching post, but there was another post the same length and the right diameter and just switched it with the brown post with the toy in it. My cat went WILD for this, wouldn’t even let me finish the set up. The material seems a bit thin, but I don’t think it will be a problem. My cat immediately started aggressively scratching it and the material didn’t budge at all. My cats love carpet matieral and I’d rather them ruin this cat tree than my $2500 couch! My cat also loves chewing on the string that the top toy that hangs. He chews the stretchy cords off of every single toy he has, and this cord survived his 15 minute chewing session with almost no damage. I’m actually impressed! He played with every single toy that was on the cat tree before I finished assembling it. It is small, but we needed something smaller for our small apartment. He was naturally attracted to it, like he knew it was for him. It’s definitely worth the money, especially if you have a small apartment. Assembly was pretty easy, although the pictures on their directions don’t really match the pieces that were included. The picture said that the star toy was a circle and the string toy was a star. They must’ve updated the design without updating their directions. All of the problems that I noticed with the product were annoying, but small and easily solvable. ... show more

I'm very happy with this cat tower! It was easy to put together, and the quality is better than I expected. It's sturdy and doesn't feel flimsy at all. My cats loved it so much they were climbing on it while I was still assembling it! They use it all the time now, and it was definitely worth the purchase. The cat tree is super cute and is sturdy. My only complaint is that the bolts that come with the cat tree, the bottom ones are way too long like I showed in the picture. They are sticking out and the bolts for the top piece. Don’t screw in because those bolts are too small, and I tried to switch them for the long bolts on top and the short ones in the bottom, but the short ones are too short and the wood is too thick in the bottom that the small bolts don’t fit thankfully I have another tree that I’m taking down so I can use those bolts, but that would be my only complaint ... show more

Good quality. should last for a long time. Very sturdy and made of nice material. perfect size for medium size cats. Good for older cats. Its design, sleep down low an and lounge above is perfect for achy joints and old age stiffness. Would be great for kittens also. Plenty of spots to scratch away.

Screw holes didn’t match up to the house part of the cat tree to the platform. The holes were straight on the platform but diagonal on the house. It’s a little small for growing cats but little ones enjoy the scratching post

Everything is as described and looks nice. However, some of the holes in the wood for the screws to go in aren’t fully in the correct place. I had to make/adjust holes in the base so that the screws could go in the receivers. Other than that, everything else was good.
